#Moldova: 1) The president-elect Maia Sandu asked people to take to the streets and protest against Dodon and the Socialists Party. Sandu accuses the latter of the attempt to strip the president of the control over the intelligent service.
2) She presented this initiative as a tentative to steal the results of the elections. The protests should start tomorrow. The president-elect condemned harshly Dodon for allegedly trying to serve the interests of the oligarchic groups.
3) Earlier today, the former allies of Sandu, the Platform DA slammed Dodon and the Socialist for stirring inter-ethnic animosities by planning to pass in the parliament the law on a special status for Russian language.
4) It is worth to mention that Maja Sandu sent the message about tomorrow’s protests in Russian too. She is clearly interested in attracting the Russian voters after the presidential elections. Using Russian language as a president is what referred to in my latest article. 👇

5) Tomorrow’s protests will demonstrate whether the call of the president-elect Sandu and her party for early legislative elections has a strong popularity in the public. It’s unclear how the population will react to Sandu’s demand to protest.
6) This is the poster circulated by Sandu’s party asking people to protest tomorrow: “Defending the vote and the will of the people!” 
7) There is no unanimity in civil society about these protests. Some voices believe that Sandu should focus on solutions to stop the outbreak. In 2019, Sandu’s political party agreed the transfer of intelligence service under Dodon, who appointed a director on political criteria.
