Hard-Core Lessons From Starting A Small E-commerce Store On a Shoestring Budget

Lesson 1: Not Every Product Is Fit For You.😃

About 4-5months ago, my friend @semmychuks and I decided to set up a lil e-commerce store with very little capital.

So, we sat down and thought about..
some products that could give us immediate return and good product selling experience.

We thought of a whole lot of products including health products and other stuff...but we finally settled at selling a simple vanity product.

Now, what are vanity products?

These are...
products that people love to buy and are already buying. Example: handbags, shoes, wristwatch, accessories, clothes, hairs etc.

Back to my story..

We got our first products and started marketing. After our first ad, we realized that a lot of people actually wanted this...
stuff.

And no matter how many they owned already, they were still ready to spend more on these products.

It's just that way.

Now listen, If you have very little capital & almost no experience in selling, vanity products are a good place to start.

Why?

• They are easily👇🏾
available
• Demand for it is always up!
• You can buy at such low price and sell high prices.
• They are good for testing your marketing prowess (creating great offers and stuff)
• They sell like crazy especially doing festive seasons like this one.

Action point:👇🏾
Find a vanity product that you know you can sell and start selling it.

In my next lesson, you'll learn how to beat your competition in the market without competing on price.

Learn something? Share!!!

See you in lesson 2.

Same principle applies to great copies that really bring in money.

When your prospect starts reading your letter, you don't want them to stop and pick out bones—like when eating a fish.

No!

You actually want them to read the first word, down to the
second...till they take your desired action.

And you only can do this by looking for an edge when editing your copy.

Pick out things that don't belong in the copy...cross your T's and dot your I's.

You gotta make sure the ingredients (words and emotional plugs) mix and run

They say:

"Long copy sells"
"5000 words does the magic...blah blah blah"

The...
truth is, you don't need all the word in the English lexicon to pass your message across.

You only need ENOUGH words to do that.

And I'm going to show you exactly what I mean...

Before the end of this short thread, you'll learn how to craft killer copies without writing an
entire Bible.

That said...we move.

But somehow someway, the eagle managed to feast on it.

You see...

The Place You Don't Want to Be As A Marketer

It's easy...to fall into this particular delusion.

Many marketers do...I did fall into it as well.

But I learned my lesson.

And what is that?

Well, I call it Delusive Entitlement Mindset

You know that excitement you feel when...
you just finished creating a new product...

That you "feel" people will definitely buy.

But when you finally run your ads, you realize...no one gives a dime!

Not your best friend.

Not your target audience.

Just you.

And then you say:

"Drop it! You guys don't deserve me"👇🏾
Well my friend, you are the one who doesn't deserve them.

Don't ever create a product that you feel will sell.

Make sure, you confirm that there's a need for your product.

Not every gap in the market has a need.

Before, you launch do some research.

Test your ideas👇🏾
