THREAD πŸ‘‡
1. Focus on metrics that matter πŸ€“

However much we don’t want it to be true, the marketing team must be held accountable to revenue generated, not brand awareness.

Revenue is the ultimate lagging metric.
2. Give β€œleading” goals 🏹

Give each team member a goal that focuses on a metric they can influence. This empowers team members whilst also increasing accountability.
3. Track weekly πŸ“ˆ

Have each team member update their leading metric in a single, shared spreadsheet first thing on Monday morning with objective comments about the result.
4. Meet daily 🀝

I’m not talking about a gruelling, soul-destroying sixty minute Zoom, I’m talking about a ten minute, blocker removing stand-up.

Three steps to a profitable #podcast πŸ’°

Step 1: Niche Down πŸ”»
Step 2: Find Strategic Guests πŸ•΅οΈβ€β™€οΈ
Step 3: Listeners To LeadsπŸ‘‚

A #marketing thread πŸ‘‡
Step 1: Niche Down

First, you need to become more focused.

One example of this is Document360's Knowledgebase Ninjas, a podcast solely focused on technical writers and has become the most downloaded podcast in the niche in less than a year.
Step 2: Find Strategic Guests

Be more strategic about guests:

πŸ‘‰ An ideal customer
πŸ‘‰ They run a massive blog in your niche
πŸ‘‰ They have a big audience of your ideal customers

Short term profitability comes from strategic guest relationships, not audience growth.
