Evidence does not support the use of a cervical dilatation rate of 1 cm/hour as a screening tool to trigger medical interventions or referral. Instead, the 🆕 Labour Care Guide includes updated, evidence-based reference ranges of labour progress.
All 👩🧕👩🏾 have the right to a safe & positive childbirth experience. This includes:

✔️clear communication by maternity staff
✔️pain relief strategies
✔️mobility in labour where possible

From preventing diseases to boosting mental wellbeing, WHO recommends adults do
🕒 at least 150–300 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic physical activity; or
🕒 at least 75–150 minutes of vigorous-intensity aerobic physical activity

The situation is worst in the health care facilities of the world’s least developed countries:
🗑️ 70% have no basic health care waste management system
🚱 50% have no basic water services
🚽 20% lack sanitation services
Investing in Water, Sanitation & Hygiene in health care facilities would help:

👶 Improve quality of care & safety of 👶 deliveries
