U: सिफ़अत का क्या दख़्ल तज़ुर्बे की बात है! किसी ज़ुबाँ में ग़ैरी लुग़हतोक़मूस का पुरज़ोर दाख़िला हो जाय तो वो अलहदा शक्लोसूरत अख़्तियार कर लेती है!

H: परिभाषा की नहीं अनुभव की बात है। किसी भी भाषा में विदेशी शब्दकोश की भरमार कर दें तो वह एक नया रूप ले लेती है।
U: बज़ाते-पैदाइश उर्दू तो है ही हिन्दी ज़ुबान के दरमियाँ अरबीफ़ारसी अल्फ़ाज़ मुक़र्रर करने की बुनियाद से। हिंदी वाले को अरबीफ़ारसी अल्फ़ाज़ का इल्म हो तो बिलाशक़ उर्दू की कैफ़ियत होती ही है। मगर संजीदा मसाइल पर गुफ़्तगू या मुबाहिसा बेहद मुश्किलतरीं होता है लुग़हतोक़मूस की निहायत+
+अलहदगी से।

H: उर्दू तो जन्मतः है ही हिन्दी वाक्यविन्यास में अरबीफ़ारसी शब्दों को डालने से बनी भाषा। हिंदी जानने वाले को यदि कुछकुछ अरबीफ़ारसी शब्द परिचय हो, तो उर्दू की साधारण समझ आ जाती है। किंतु गम्भीर विषयों पर चर्चा या विमर्श बहुत कठिन होता है, शब्दों की नितान्त भिन्नता से।

1. The first factor is popular adoption of engineered High Yield Variety seeds since 1960s. While the other states were slow, Punjab was quick to adopt new seeds, not only of wheat but also of rice. (Giving up the rich biodiversity of 100s of Indian varieties is a wise policy?)
2. High chemical use.

Punjab gave up organic manure long back and adopted chemical fertilizers and pesticides.

For decades it is excessive chemical use leader. In 1985 it was using 6x India average!

While others too joined the race, Punjab still uses nearly TWICE India avg.

नमस्ते आलोक जी। मनीषी-ग्रन्थों द्वारा “वाणी” के चार स्तर / अवस्थाएँ कही गई हैं। परा, पश्यन्ती, मध्यमा, और वैखरी। प्रथम “परा” हमारे अन्तर में प्रकट वाणी का “कारण” मात्र है। वहाँ न नाम है न रूप है। आगे वही विकसित होकर “पश्यन्ती” बन कर हमारे अन्तर्मन में एक मूर्त आकार लेती है।

अभी भी इसमें शब्द नहीं बस अनुभव है। फिर वह अनुभव हमारी बुद्धि में विचार रूपी वाणी का स्पन्दन करता है। यह वाणी मध्यमा कहलाती है। अब इसमें शब्द है पर केवल मन में।

फिर यही मानसिक शब्द प्रकट हो कर मुख से व्यक्त होते हैं।

जो शब्द हम मुख से प्रकट करते, कानों से सुनते हैं, उसे “वैखरी” वाणी के नाम से कहा गया।

प्रथम तीन आन्तरिक और अव्यक्त हैं। सारी प्रकट भाषाएँ, चाहे संस्कृत हो चाहे अंगरेजी, वे वैखरी (और कुछ दूर तक मध्यमा) के स्तर की ही हैं। उसके आगे की वाणी में इन शाब्दिक भाषाओं का कोई अर्थ नहीं।

“Anti Hindu Stereotypes in the Media” - this was the topic of Dr. @Koenraad_Elst ’s talk yesterday.

He narrated with clinical precision, not only how the media -western and Indian- is hostile to Hinduism but also and more importantly - why.
He stated that whilst the general impression in the West a few decades back was quite redpectful towards Hinduism but hostile to India - now it is the other way round - India might be seen in a positive light now but Hinduism is made a sharp focus of negative impressions.
