… thus is Sarayu river enumerated by the R^ichA in the triad, side by side Sarasvati and Sindhu!

सरयू नाम सुमंगल-मूला,
लोक वेद-मत मञ्जुल कूला

One major tributary to Sarayu is named "वेदश्रुति" by the paurAnika geographies!

Yes, the river is called वेदश्रुति!!

Certain descriptions mention वेदश्रुति as the river that defined Kosala-proper's eastern boundary - Sarayu being the Western!

Then, in these lands of the veda, shall we cease to dream of reigniting the sacred flames?

Shall we cease to dream of rekindling the vedasaMskAra in the progeny of the seers and sages who dwelled once on Sarayu's banks?

Cease we shall not! Dream we will!

One tiny step perhaps in the dream.

One small vaidika saMskAra kendra for children in these lands we hope to establish in these parts. At our ancestral place in the kaushala country.

भगवद् इच्छा, मातापिता की कृपा, @vvaayu वर्य के समर्थ दिग्दर्शन और @vAIdikabhArata के सहयोग से, आधुनिक परिपेक्ष्य में सरयू-पोषिता पावन धरा पर स्थानीय बालकों को वैदिक संस्कारों से सुदीक्षित-सुसज्ज करने के लक्ष्य की ओर एक योजना बनी है।

योजना यह है कि स्कूलों के अवकाश (ग्रीष्म/शारदीयादि) के समय, अष्टदिवसीय शिबिरों की श्रृंखला में, गुरुकुलरूपेण वातावरण में सन्ध्योपासन, समिदाघानादि ब्रम्हचारी-उचित नित्यकर्मों की शिक्षा-दीक्षा दी जाए।

साथ ही समाज-देश के प्रति कर्तव्याकर्तव्य का चिन्तन-बोधन भी करवाया जाय।

आगे चलकर संस्कृतभाषा, वेद-वाङ्ग्मय, इतिहास, काव्य-छन्द, दर्शन, ज्यामिति, ज्योतिष, contemporary comparative religion आदि विषयों का क्रमश: परिचय भी करवाया जाय।

बाल्यकाल में रोपित बीज ही तो ईश्वरकृपा से आगामी समाज के पल्लव बन सकेंगे। न्यूनातिन्यून कुछ बोध तो पहुँच ही पाएगा।

Towards this effort, the first such Shibira is planned to be held next month between Jun 15 and 22.

This would be accompanied by the pArAyaNa of शाङ्खायन ऋग्वेद by AchArya shrI abhijit sAvale.
