Many frontline healthcare workers, including those that work directly with #COVID19 patients, still have no idea when they will get their #CovidVaccine (especially in rural areas or outside of hospital system). But non-clinical staff @UHN are being offered vaccines?!
Despite still providing necessary patient care (including in person for essentials, elderly, cancer patients, pregnant ppl, infant checks etc.) community physicians feel left in the dark in the vaccination rollout plan. @SamHillMD@lee_jasonk@TheSGEM@Kidsdoc1Rick
I am getting some DMs on this (shared with permission) & it seems to be a pervasive problem in multiple regions.
Reminder that most ppl in retirement/group homes, paramedics, 1st responders, teachers, elderly, high risk, persons with disability etc. have yet to be vaccinated.
Thx for all the info/DMs. I received many messages from frontline HCW who are upset they cannot get the vaccine while caring for high risk pts daily.😟Also msgs confirming that this is indeed happening in multiple regions - Osler, Ottawa, Trillium, Hamilton, Midland, etc.
