.@washingtonpost columnist Dana Milbank described the vocation of @AmbJohnBolton, a target of the sanctions: "He makes war." His allegiance to ideological purity trumps all. @mikepompeo, on the other hand, smears #China to keep his name relevant as he eyes higher offices.
Want to make a name by bashing #China and harming China's interests and then in turn extract financial benefit from it through D.C.'s revolving door? The sanctions put a limit to that. Good luck sitting on a major multinational conglomerate's board of directors.
Ask yourself, @mikepompeo, would having the second largest economy slapping sanctions on you really gain you any votes? The former occupants of the 245,000 U.S. jobs lost in the trade war with #China and the 80 million voters who rejected your policies won't be voting for you.
