CAPITOL OUTBREAK HAS ARRIVED—At least 20 US Capitol police officers now have active #COVID19, marking the largest number of cases among the rank and file in months.

This follows numerous members of Congress who also have tested positive after the siege.

3) I tried warn about potential for the Jan 6th Capitol riot to be a super spreading event. Sounds like the real is now very real, in addition to the outbreak among members of Congress.

4) in other news, Dave Chapelle has COVID. Not DC related but he did maybe superspread it at a party with other comedians + Elon Musk. Wondering if Musk is quarantining.

SWITCH TO PREMIUM MASKS—I’ve been saying it for months. We need to switch to KN95, KF94, or European FFP2 masks ASAP. The new #b117 #COVID19 is just too contagious. Cloth isn’t enough anymore folks. Germany 🇩🇪 & Austria 🇦🇹 mandating on all public transits. washingtonpost.com/world/europe/e… Image

3) N95 masks are more rare outside of hospitals because they are in shortage and needed by HCWs. You might find some NIOSH N95 from wood working, but note those are often not fluid resistant. ImageImage

BREAKING—NYT reports that right-wing PA congressman @RepScottPerry played a key role in Trump’s plot to oust the acting attorney general this month!

@PatriotsPerry is a known conspiracy theorist who had suggested ISIS was behind Vegas mass shooting.

2) Scott Perry is the congressman infamously suggested ISIS was connected to Vegas mass shooting. never showed any evidence, and even wouldn’t back down from claim 9 month later. Can’t make this stuff up.

3) Moreover, @RepScottPerry was one of the anti-mask GOP members of Congress who laughed & mocked Rep. @LisaBRochester for trying to hand out masks while in lockdown during the MAGA terrorist attack on the Capitol. Multiple MOCs got infected afterwards.
