Roberts not presiding puts the Senate trial at risk of collateral attack by #SCOTUS. CJ Roberts should open the trial and hand the gavel to the President Pro Tempore @SenatorLeahy and be presiding to conduct the votes to convict and bar from office. @SenateDems @SenSchumer

This bonehead move is slow pitch to the radical right on the Court to let Trump run in 2024. Am I the only person with a copy of the Constitution? If Roberts doesn't want to come, let him resign. @SenSchumer @SenatorLeahy @neal_katyal @tribelaw @SenatorDurbin @RepJerryNadler
I'd issue a subpoena to him and send the Seargent at Arms to pick him up the morning the trial starts. Let him officially give his gavel to the President Pro Tempore. Don't screw this up folks.

1. Want to end #DomesticTerrorism? Amend 18 USC 2333 and allow civil remedies not just for international terrorism, but list the domestic groups or make the elements part of the proof and allow the plaintiff bar to pursue domestic terrorists & affiliates with litigation.
2. I came up with the civil settlement of Ruby Ridge. I know how to deal with these folks. @RepJeffries @RepJerryNadler @SenatorDurbin.
3. Any why has nobody sued Donald Trump and his complicit crew including family for the damage including intentional infliction of emotions distress for 100 million people? Add Charles Koch and all his attorneys and their other affiliated clients if they touched the insurrection.

1. Could be bad news, not only for Donald Trump but IMO also for public officials like the @HawleyMO @tedcruz who, IMO may now be sued for incitement at least for things said off of the floor.

Court let two counts stand against Trump.
2. "Count III of Plaintiffs’ complaint tracks the language of
§ 525.040(1), alleging that “[i]n directing his supporters to eject peaceful protestors using harmful physical force, Trump intended to create a public disturbance involving an assemblage of five or more persons
3. which by tumultuous and violent conduct created grave danger of damage or injury.”
The Court therefore finds that Plaintiffs have
adequately alleged incitement of five or more persons. . .

1. Should @jack @TwitterSupport @TwitterSafety permanently ban all @SenateGOP @HouseGOP who have not denounced the "Stop the Steal" #BigLie predicate for the deadly 1/6 insurrection? How about just banning ones like @HawleyMO & @tedcruz who continue to advance it?
2. And though @Twitter has section 230 defenses to being sued, @SenateGOP off-the-floor do not. Should the Plaintiff's bar start to punish them for intentional infliction of emotional distress for continuing to advance Trump's insurrection? Is their false speech mail and wire
3. fraud, employed to defraud millions of deluded Trump followers from their money and property to fund these politician's Presidential campaigns that promise to continue the insurrection? Why not just bury complicit @SenateGOP in civil litigation for their role in the attack?

1. All those who attacked the Capitol deserve to be punished. Period. But with thousands of potential defendants, the Speedy Trial Act is a problem. It generally requires trial in 70 days for serious misdemeanors or felonies. But Congress can act to appoint temporary Magistrate
2. Judges to conduct proceedings remotely for the least criminal liable defendants. Every trespasser gets a criminal record if convicted. The ones who don't take a general plea offer of guilty or no contest to a trespassing charge are then put in the trial bucket that may result

1. @TheJusticeDept must create a strike force to look at Kremlin influence in elections. Congress Members with unexplained Kremlin contacts should be among first @FBIWFO interviews. @LeaderMcConnell has Deripaska connection & @RandPaul's has reported frequent embassy visits.
2. Also the crew that went to the Kremlin on July 4. I'd interview @SteveDaines first. He was only one on trip not in in the 2016 cycle. I believe the Kremlin funded it. Make the connection to that as part of a larger conspiracy that led to the insurrection, and these folks
3. might be looking at the grand prize. Here is the 2016 cycle. Coats, Ayotte & @SenatorBurr have likely already cooperated. This can't wait. It may turn the Capitol attack into the Capital offense.
