#ThisPartOfHistory

One morning in 1938, the hosts at Wadia House, Bombay were taken aback to see #Roy coming to the breakfast table in white Dhoti-Kurta in true Bengali Style instead of his preferred choice, suits/bush shirts & trousers.
Noticing the puzzled look he said,
I'M GOING TO PAY MY RESPECTS TO #VeerSavarkar.

#ManabendranathRoy, the founder of #CommunistPartyofIndia added, I'm sure the Old Man will be pleased to see me dressed as a full fledged Indian rather than as Westernized Revolutionary.
Having said that MN Roy went & met Savarkar
& BOWED TO HIS FEET.

Yesterday was the smaran divas of Narendranath Bhattacharya (22/03/1887), the founder of 1st Communist Party outside Russia, the Mexican Communist Party & @cpimspeak who later distanced himself from the party he founded due to IDEOLOGICAL DIFFERENCES &
eventually joined
Radical Democratic Party.
M N Roy hailed from the family of Brahmins who were priests, large family made his father to look into another avenues.
MN Roy had his schooling at Arbelia, Kodalia & College at National College of Shri Aurobindo & later finished his
Engineering at
Bengal Technical Institute (Today's Jadhavpur University).
M N Roy was swept in the waves of Nationalism through the writings of #BankimChandraChatterjee, yes, no words minced here, #Vandematarm was on his lips every moment & also Swami Vivekananda.(In Freedom's
Quest)
M N Roy, joined #AnushilanSamithi.
In 1905, during Partition of Bengal, Young Narendra was expelled from school for joining the freedom activities, undeterred Narendra involved himself with Anushilan Samiti for active work.
Got arrested in 1907 & was released by help of
Barrister
J N Roy (Closed Friend Of Bhaga Jatin), he was carrying books of Barin Ghosh, banned by British under sedition law.
Unhappy with Barin's centralised work culture, M N Roy wanted to do something more & an opportunity came to meet the legend #BhaghaJatin, M N Roy's life
changed It's course from here, M N Roy many a times said, Bhaga Jatin is the role model for him.
The revolutionaries had decided, armed struggle is the only way to dislodge British & were looking for funds through Non Resident Bharatiyas.
In 1914, MN Roy went to Java & collected
funds And in 1915, Roy set out again for Germany & he didn't see his beloved homeland for next 16 years.
According to M N Roy's memoirs, the plan was fascinating, but the German Counsel who was supposed to give money for operation mysteriously disappeared. (Read Screenshot)
Disgusted Bhattacharya, still hoped to raise money for independence activities, proceeded to Japan from Indonesia, met a Chinese and also German Ambassador for China, everywhere he failed.
The resolute Bhattacharya went ahead to United States to meet German Ambassador for US
and landed in San Fransisco.
In between, the British tried to catch him, but MNRoy was safely hidden in the ship, got down at Kobe, later with a student visa went to US.
During his stay at California, he met his future wife Evelyn Trent, in 1917, both of them fled to Mexico due
to unbearable British Spies, the German consulate helped them providing large amounts of money.
The Mexican President, Venustiano Carranza had formed Socialist Party & M N Roy started writing for El Pueblo, the president highly impressed with M N Roy's writings converted his
Party to Communist Party of Mexico in 1919, the first outside Russia.
Roy also gave refuge to Bolshevik leader, Borodin & #Lenin was highly impressed with Roy's activities. (Screenshot)
In October 1920, Roy formed Communist Party of India & contacted his estranged friends.
Few
of them Were inspired by Gandhi, but he got into contact with C R Das who still had revolutionary ideas for independence.
Sitting in Russia, Narendranath wrote for "The Vanguard" CPIs Mouthpiece and later in 1926 wrote "The Future of Indian Politics".
#Stalin appointed a
delegation
for Agrarian Revolution & MNRoy went to China leading it.
He was successful there, but on his return found a crisis amongst Communist Factions in Russia.
Roy wanted to meet Stalin, but Stalin refused.
He ordered to imprison everybody who were with Borodin, M N Roy
escaped
Stalin's wrath stating Medical Treatment & went 2Germany & subsequently returned back 2 Bharat on December, 1930.
Upon reaching Bombay, MN Roy met Subhash Chandra Bose & Nehru, his political activity was brief, British arrested him on 21st July, 1931 for an arrest
warrant of 1924.
MN Roy was arrested for waging war against King & without trial got rigorous imprisonment for 12 years.
Roy smuggled out his defence through his friends & got published, in it he quoted.
Roy's appeal was dismissed but his sentence got reduced to 6 years from 12.
Released in 1936, with broken health, Roy went to Allahabad.
Nehru invited him for Faizpur Session, MN Roy went ahead even though Russia asked to boycott it & staunch Communists in India accused M N Roy for deviation. (Screenshot)
Unable to Collaborate with Gandhi, Roy stuck to
his own conviction, In 1937, he started a weekly "Independent India", which was welcomed by many nationalists but not communists.
MN Roy while in Russia married Ellen, after his first wife Evelyn left him, the couple settled at Dehradun.
Roy proposed alternative leadership after
witnessing Humiliation meted to Bose by Gandhi and disillusioned with Communism M N Roy in 1938 formed "League of Radical Congressmen".
He devoted his last years in Radical Humanism & wrote
"Reason, Romanticism & Revolution".
And on 25th January, 1954
ManabendraNathRoy passed
away.
Between 1938 & 54, he wrote regularly about the need of Democratic setups, Constitution and 10 year plan.
Till his last breath, he opposed Gandhi's ideas & Nehru's treachery towards Bose.
Does Communists Reveal All These Details of their Founder?

#NetajiVsNehru

It’s a mystery that nobody knows clearly what happened to Netaji after 1945s purported plane crash, but 2 things are clear…
1)Netaji didn’t die on 18th August 1945.
2)NEHRU played a big big role in this.
What is clear
is that if Subhas Bose had returned to India, rather than either been killed in an air crash or gone permanently missing, he would have easily been the most popular leader in the country, and could quite possibly have displaced Mahatma Gandhi's favourite, Jawaharlal Nehru, from
the effective leadership of the Congress party and consequently the Prime Ministership. Given the fact that Netaji attracted both Muslims and Hindus to his fold in like manner, there is a high probability that a Bose-led Congress could have checkmated the plans of both Whitehall

#NeverForgetNeverForgive

On this day, 12/01/1934
#MasterdaSuryaSen was executed along with Tarakeswar Dastidar.

For almost one year Masterda was kept in jail and was subjected with extreme and inhuman physical and mental torture. All his nail's were uprooted, each and
every joints of bone in his body were broken , all his teeth's were taken out .He was beaten almost every day with bayonets and steel rods. He died much before and only his dead body was hanged .Later Masterda’s dead body was thrown in sea never to be found again.
It is wholly
wrong to evaluate the Chittagong Uprising , commonly called the Chittagong Armoury raid , as a mere youthful revolt. There is no doubt that the ulterior objective of the revolutionaries led by Masterda Surya Sen was a passionate demand for complete freedom from the fetters of

#SwamiVivekanandaJayanti

How many know Swami Vivekananda was a warrior.

How many know Swami Vivekananda played an important role in freedom struggle.

Let us learn about the Swamiji which Christ Loving Belur Math & Ramakrishna Mission never shares.

“Bharat is in need of Bomb
and Bomb Alone” and the Call “Rise, Awake & Stop Not Till The Goal Is Reached” was to kick out British from Bharat.
While most of us see Swami Vivekananda as a Sanyasi who spread Sanatana Dharma to the world, very few know his contribution for freedom struggle.
There are loads
of articles how Gandhi was inspired by Swami Vivekananda whereas the truth is Swami inspired 1000s of revolutionaries to take Bombs & Guns to fight against British Oppression.

2 BOOKS –
Swami Vivekananda’s youngest brother Bhupendranath Datta was one of the key members of

#LalBahadurShastri

Today is the day to recall the great tragedy that befell India 52 years ago. For the 1st time in modern world history, a head of government died in a foreign country. Lal Bahadur Shastri’s sudden demise barely two years after his taking over
as the PM shocked D nation so much so that deep down in our collective memory a pain lingers till date.
When Shastri’s body was brought home, his mother, who would die 9 months later, spotted bluish patches on her son. “Mere bitwa ko jahar de diya!” (My son has been poisoned!)
But then, doubts about Shastri’s death had cropped up even in Tashkent. On 11 January, at about 4 am, Ahmed Sattarov, the Russian butler attached to Shastri, was rudely woken up. The butler recalled his nightmare last year in an interview with Russia and India Report:
