The COVAX Facility, established and co-led by @CEPIvaccines, @gavi & WHO, is bringing all nations together to ensure the procurement and equitable distribution of #COVID19 vaccines.
When a #COVID19 vaccine becomes available, itβs important that priority groups receive the vaccine first. This includes:
β Frontline health & social care workers
β People aged 65 & over
β People aged under 65 having underlying health conditions
1β£ phase of allocation: doses will be made available to participating countries simultaneously until they can cover approximately 20% of the population of every country.
In addition to phases 1β£ & 2β£, up to 5% of the total number of available doses of vaccine are reserved for other vulnerable populations as part of a βhumanitarian bufferβ
