Meet Artur Pawlowski (here with Rob Anders). If you are unfamiliar with the name, he is a far-right preacher in Calgary who is associated with groups like the Soldiers of Odin, Northern Guard, III%ers and Worldwide Coalition Against Islam among others. 1/21 Image
Here are a few examples from the blog that feature Artur:

"Calgary Soldier of Odin Leader Posts Antisemitic Memes and Linked to Overt Racists" 2/21

This thread is based on older posts from June 2020, but they are still useful in understanding the mindset of the hatriot groups in Canada I and others have covered for years.

Before that though, I have two older video clips from June 3, 2017 to provide some context. 1/20

The Worldwide Coalition Against Islam (WCAI) was mainly an Internet group, though the two leaders, founder and president Joey DeLuca and VP Jesse Wielenga and a handful of other members participated in and organize real world events. 3/20

While @erinotoole has stated that it was the result of a series of controversies, the straw that broke the camel's back was accepting a donation from neo-Nazi Paul Fromm (@FrommPaul). 2/24

Now Paulie's influence in far-right extremism has waned significantly (a reason why he has tried to attach himself to more contemporary movements; Proud Boys, Yellow Vests, anti-lockdown, etc), which probably means being in the news is a bit of a thrill. 3/24

Donald Trump is out, Joe Biden is in, and QAnon adherents, are in disarray. Others, like @_MAArgentino, have already done a much better job than I will of unpacking everything, but here is my take on the response of Canadian QAnon. 1/16

The day started with high anticipation. Canadian QAnon cultists were as confident in "The Storm" as they are that the sun would rise in the east. 2/16 Image
Some were a bit more cautions having been burned before. 3/16 Image

We are... what? Less than 48 hours from the presidential inauguration?

American Trump supporters are still convinced that he still has a master plan to remain president and punish his enemies. The true believers among his Canadian supporters feel the same way. 1/15
In short, QAnon conspiracy woo.

Now I've spent a great deal of time the last two weeks posting information about QAnon's Canadian Trump supporting adherents. I figure that we might focus a bit on a case study in radicalization. 2/15
When I was publishing articles on ARCI wrote about Ryan Mclean in relation to his membership in the anti-Muslim/anti-immigration Canadian Combat Coalition. I also may have noted that his face looks like it is putting his body to sleep because I can be, and often am, a jerk. 3/15

Despite his supporters that still exist in Canada, the Trump brand has become especially toxic in this country since he helped to foment an attack by supporters on the US Capitol on January 6. 1/25 #canpoli #CPCldr #CPC #TakeCanadaBack #cdnmedia

Conservative Party leader @erinotoole not surprisingly is trying to distance himself, though statements like "Take Canada Back" used during his leadership campaign echo the shallow populism of Trumpism. 2/25

The question arises then how much has Trumpism infected Canadian conservative politics? I know most of my conservative-voting extended family despise Trump and everything he stands for, but there are those for whom Trump is not just a hero, but a messianic figure. 3/25
