Both #GBNews & #NewsUK are about to launch Fox News style channels in the UK.

Despite Mr Neil saying 'wait & see', it's obvious to a child that both channels will try to drag public opinion EVEN FURTHER Right.

As Fox News ratings began to plummet after Trump's defeat, with their audiences seeking even further right-wing channels, & with profit as the one true religion at Fox, something had to change, so according to a number of reports, Murdoch stepped in to call the shots directly.

Most notably, the network decided to add an hour of opinion programming to its prime-time offerings.

The 7 pm hour will no longer be nominally 'news', but straight-up #outrage production.

Why? Because that’s where the ratings (& ad revenue) are!

We know that the pro-Trump media world peddled the lies that fueled the Capitol mob. Fox News led the way.

One of those who will rotate through the tryouts for that coveted spot will be Maria Bartiromo, whose Trump sycophancy during the campaign may well have been unparalleled.

Bartiromo was among those (including Lou Dobbs and Jeanine Pirro) recently forced under threat of a lawsuit to air a video that debunked repeated false claims on her show that corrupt voting software had given millions of Trump votes to Biden.

At the same time, Sean Hannity, who likes to blast Biden as “cognitively struggling,” and Tucker Carlson, who tries to sow doubt about the prevalence of white supremacy, have become even more outlandish as they try to gin up anti-Biden rage within their audiences.

Even James Murdoch blasted the harm his dad’s media empire has done. “The sacking of the Capitol is proof positive that what we thought was dangerous is indeed very much so. Those outlets that propagate lies to their audience have unleashed insidious & uncontrollable forces".

So how to get the Fox News monster under control?

The only answer is to speak the language that the bigwigs at Fox (and by extension #GBNews & #NewsUK) will understand: Ratings. Advertising money. Profit.

Corporations that advertise on Fox News have been encouraged to walk away, & citizens who care about the truth should demand that they do so (in addition to trying to steer their friends & relatives away from the network).

In the UK, #DontFundGBNews has been trending for days.

In January, 147 Republican lawmakers who opposed certification of the election lost the support of many of their largest corporate backers: General Electric, AT&T, PricewaterhouseCoopers, all said they'd suspend donations to members of Congress who voted against certifying Biden.

For better or worse, where the #USA leads, the UK follows.

That's why with Trump's defeat, dark money is flooding into the UK, & not one but two new "news" channels are launching to try & influence public opinion on behalf of their (libertarian free-market crank) investors.

But the corporate boycott shows, at the very least, that there is a growing understanding that LYING TO THE PUBLIC MATTERS - THAT IT IS HARMFUL & INSIDIOUS, & at least some multinational corporations don’t want to be a part of that.

When you think about Fox News’s role in the 400,000 US lives lost to the pandemic, & in the disastrous attack of Jan. 6, it’s even fair to call it deadly.

If consumers & corporations wants to communicate clearly with #GBNews & #NewsUK, they should do it in the language of money.
