The expert team is working on a summary report which we hope will be published next week, and the full final report will be published in the coming week"-@DrTedros

"This was the first in a series of meetings, and focused on working towards an agreed clinical description of the “long #COVID19”condition, which will be important for clinicians to diagnose and treat it"-@DrTedros

"This illness affects patients with both severe and mild #COVID19.

Part of the challenge is that patients with long COVID can have a range of different symptoms that can be persistent or can come and go"-@DrTedros

"Earlier this week, WHO released a case reporting form that will allow more data to be collected on long #COVID19 in a standardized way. This will help to improve the understanding, surveillance and clinical management of the condition"-@DrTedros

"Given the scale of the pandemic, we expect many people to be affected by post #COVID19 condition.

And, of course, the best way to prevent long COVID is to prevent COVID-19 in the first place"-@DrTedros
