Sing Tao Daily reported that Zheng Zehui are the public security chief of Zhongshan City and Deng Jianwei the political and legal affairs chief of Foshan City.
A brainchild of Zheng Zehui is creating "smart public security" in Zhongshan, which aimed at turning policing actions from post-event to preemptive with big data and real-time surveillance technologies.
Deng Jianwei, Foshan political and legal affairs chief, is 10yrs older than Zheng Zehui and known as a veteran anti-narcotics official experienced in cross-border operations.
Deng reportedly has good PR skills and created 1st police Weibo grp in China.
In 2006, Deng Jianwei (L), then deputy NB chief of Guangdong police, led the first group of NB officials from Guangdong to take a 5-day class in HK's police academy. Then deputy police commissioner (now security minister) John Lee conferred certificates.
