You might hate me for saying this, but i have to say this.

For the last few days i've been hiding & running away from the Vairamuthu-DMK event stories. It is troubling me a lot. The whole political environment, Dravidam & Tamil Nationalism, both continue to celebrate Vairamuthu
Even i, when am with my friends, when we have discussion about songs, about poetry, when we discuss Vairamuthu, dont address the #metoo issue. I, the most politically vocal one in my friends lot too consciously make a choice to not address it.
That choice is a very male chauvinistic act on my part. I like Vairamuthu the poet, i respect that man. Something is wrong about that. Metoo hasn't truly changed my perspective about him. I know its wrong. But thats how i feel. I for some odd reason feel guilty,

-பிறகு திராவிட சிறகு,இறகு, விறகுனு சிறு அமைப்புகளை இறக்கி பார்த்தது,
-பிறகு கூட்டணி கட்சிக்காரர்களை இறக்கியது,
-இப்ப நாடாளுமன்ற உறுப்பினர்களை இறக்குது.
ஸ்டாலின் அடிக்கடி ராஜீவ் காந்தியுடன் காட்சியளிக்கிறார், செந்தில்குமார் ராஜீவை மேய்த்து கொண்டிருக்கிறார். இதுவே அவரின் முழு நேர வேலையாக இருக்கிறது. வேறு எந்த கட்சிக்கும் இந்த கவனிப்பு இல்லை. திமுகவின் பதற்றம் வெளிப்படையாக தெரிகிறது.
கள நிலவரம் என்ன? இந்த பதற்றம் எதற்கு? இந்த கவனிப்பு எதை காட்டுகிறது? நாம் தமிழருக்காக திமுக இவ்வளவு நேரத்தையும் காலத்தையும் ஒதுக்குவது எதனால்? நாம் தமிழரின் வளர்ச்சி முதலில் பாதிப்பது திமுகவை தானே. அதனால் திமுக பதற தானே செய்யும்?

திமுக, நாம் தமிழரை எதிர்க்க ஒரு தனி பிரிவையே களம் இறக்கியிருக்கு.  நாடாளுமன்ற உறுப்பினர்கள், பேச்சாளர்கள், இதர கூட்டணி கட்சி பிரமுகர்கள் என்று ஒரு பெரும் படையே நாம் தமிழரை சமாளிக்க களம் இறக்கப்பட்டிருக்கு.

சாதி, மதம், பணம் மூன்றும் ஒரு சேர அணிவகுத்து திமுகவின் அரணாக நிற்கிறது. ஆதிக்கம் எனும் யானைகள் மீது பண்ணையார்களின் மக்கள் அமர்ந்திருக்கின்றனர். ஊடகம் எனும் புரவி மேலே பல சாதியவாதிகள் ஊடறுக்க காத்திருக்கின்றனர்.
மெலிந்த கூட்டணி இதர கட்சிகள், பாரமான கேடயங்களை ஏந்தியப்படி பண்ணையார்களின் யானைகளுக்கு காவலாக நிற்கின்றனர்.

A large section of the so called moderates in the Sinhala Nation/ the "Colombo based Sri Lankans", seriously believe that the Sinhala military "liberated" the Tamils in 2009. Their entire reconciliation narrative is built upon this delusion.
The moderates in Colombo who don't have the courage to denounce the Sinhala Nationalist symbols that masquerade as symbols of some citizenry/civic nationalism, want us to be careful with our choice of symbols while resisting.
They have no problem, saluting their lion flag, they have no problem glorifying their military, but they do have a problem with us Tamils remembering our past, the dead, or collectively honouring the legacy of Tamil resistance.
