It boggles the mind and throws dirt on the painful history of the AIDS epidemic which was falsely labelled a "gay disease". If you want to destigmatize people living with HIV/AIDS and people in prostitution you wouldnt promote people playing Russian roulette with their health.

Fun fact: New Zealand has had rules about condom use for both parties in prostitution as well as brothels displaying signs promoting condom use since it introduced fully state sanctioned prostitution. Germany took 15 years to realize this was necessary after introducing its law.

And of course there is only so much you can do: When the woman is alone in the room with the man it's her level of need for money that decides whether there is a condom used or not & his level of violence - meaning whether he'll pull it off or not. Signs & brochures are band aids

On their website they agree with me: It's sex buyers who push for condomless & it's women's poverty that drives them to accept it. They say men have to be educated. ⚠️Trigger warning⚠️ I'm going to tweet quotes from German #sexbuyers on condom use to illustrate the reality on the ground. This is both pre and post Germany introducing mandatory condom use (2017). Even if you don't think #prostitution is violence, this endangers women's health:

Not all #sexbuyers think the fact that condomless #prostitution is always available due to women's poverty and/or when being exploited by third-parties aka pimps, but they know full well that other men do this all the time to the very same women they encounter.

Then there are those who just openly fetishize women who are extremely vulnerable - meaning homeless, drug-addicted, very young, economic or war refugees, so men pay the lowest prices and can do some of the most extreme things. Notice none of them are scared of consequences.

But it happens in the brothels, big and small, as well: Until 2017 it was completely legal to advertise condomless "paysex" and since it's been made illegal, men use code words to signal to each other where they can still get it. Many don't mind cooperating with traffickers here:

To dispel a common misconception at the end: Escorting is not necessarily high-class nor is it particularly safe. It means the buyer calls up the agency or brothel to have a woman of his choice brought to a location of his choice. She doesn't know for sure what awaits here there.
