Maybe a statue of Saint Gregory the Illuminator or King Tigran II? Something similar to Saint George in Tbilisi’s Tavisupleba (Freedom) Square?

Some potential examples:

Left: King Trdat I Arshakuni (53-88 AD)

Right: King Tigran II Artashesian (95-55 BC)

These are on display at the Palace of Versailles.

There’s also a statue of King Trdat I (r. 53-88 AD) erected Rome. It was in commissioned 66 AD by Emperor Nero, a personal friend of Trdat. It’s currently displayed at the Louvre in Paris.

1) Let’s talk about #Nakhichevan - a lost homeland.

2) The the name "Nakhichevan" in #Armenian literally means "the place of first descent", a Biblical reference to the descent of Noah's Ark on the adjacent Mount #Ararat. Armenian tradition says that Nakhichevan was founded by Noah.

3) The region was at the center of the ancient Kingdom of #Armenia (858 BC-428 CE). During the invasion by Sassanid #Persian Shah Shapur II (r. 309-379) he removed 2,000 Armenian and 16,000 #Jewish families from #Nakhichevan (360-370 CE).
