Non-Violent, Lawful, Political Defiance: The Local Patriot’s Pivot Point
How far have we wondered astray of the Spirit of 1776? I can tell you. A big part of me resists the truth of the terms in today's analysis' title. It almost seems a mere dream.
2) Here I am preaching this to you as your pivot point, you being, like me, a local patriot. And yet, as I read the words I wrote, the "yeah right" reaction almost overtakes me. I assure you; I too am subject to despair and desolation.
3) Fortunately for me, and I hope for you too, spiritual answers may be found to shore up our courage and effort on behalf of America. Since I published this list, the books on it have given me sustenance I might not have imagined before.
4) As I have shared this list, it's become ever clearer to me that I must persuade everyone of this fact. A reading list CAN BE an action plan. Let me show you how:
1) Study - READ! 2) Plan 3) Decide 4) Initiate 5) Execute 6) Complete
5) Here's what brought me here this morning. I thought to write an analysis based on #2, The Art Of War. As I picked up my beloved copy of Minford's translation, I turned to Chapter 1, Verse 2. I'll quote it below.
6) John Minford, Sun Tzu 1-2: "There are Five Fundamentals for this deliberation, for the making of comparisons and the assessing of conditions: The Way, Heaven, Earth, Command, Discipline."
7) As I thought to work on this passage, I realized a few things due to my list. First, Master Sun always talks about "The General." Well, who exactly is that? In America today, we have 3,083 local generals. They are sheriffs. To understand this, we need book #3 from the list.
8) Reading Master Sun's book again this morning, I saw book #5, The Doctrine of the Lesser Magistrate, in almost every verse. I don't know if its author, Matthew Trewhella, has read Sun Tzu. If not, I'd love to work it through with him!
9) What is war? Just about everyone will answer something like "violent conflict." Now, add the word "spiritual." What is spiritual war? Just about no one will add "violence" to their answer. Allow me to wax on this point.
10) Book #4, Gene Sharp's guide to overthrowing dictators pivots on the point of non-violent, political defiance. He doesn't emphasize the "lawfulness" of this defiance. I imagine he assumes it. For him, tyranny may not be lawful. I agree with all my heart.
11) These chaotic connections from one book to the next on my list brought me to this clarity. We must declare a war, the real thing, but it must be a non-violent, lawful war. The local patriot must lead a spiritual war in his or her district. That is the most important war.
12) In tomorrow's analysis, I will turn to Gene Sharp's work as my sole focus. What exactly is political defiance, and why must it be non-violent? Sharp has our answers. That such defiance is legal is Trewhella's pivotal point. We'll turn to that the following day.
13) Go with me again...
2) Art Of War - shows generals how to win. 3) History Of The Office Of The Sheriff - shows us who America's local generals are. 4) From Dictatorship To Democracy - shows how to defeat evil dictators, tyranny, with non-violent, political defiance.
14) Ah Trewhella. The Doctrine Of The Lesser Magistrate. Do you know that you offer the key to understand Master Sun Tzu? I know you know you offer the answer to the question of legal defiance. But how does one understand Sharp without Trewhella, or Trewhella without Sharp?
15) There is an ancient ideal which America's local patriot leaders must embrace. It is called the: Scholar Warrior. We cannot win the spiritual, non-violent, legal war for America without masterful Scholar Warriors. We need a bare bones minimum of 3,083 of them. One per county.
16) I have served generals. They are far from easy to support. Filled with both the mandate of their mission and the life of work to be in place, they have little patience or consideration for others' emotions or needs. The mission is all there is, nothing else.
17) In my professional life, I serve captains, generals of enterprise. They are often NOT Scholar Warriors at first. All my long-term clients become such. Business requires leadership. Local patriotism requires leadership. Are you such a leader?
18) Sound off. One, two. Sound off. Three, four. What the hell are we fighting for? You too, me three. Who sounds out our reveille? I do. You too. Read books. Damn those looks. Rise up, to America's need; America's need for you.
Are you ready?
19) Study counts. I beg you, do yours. I put forward, my list counts. It is worthy of your study.
20) Please, please join me:
1) Study 2) Plan 3) Decide 4) Initiate 5) Execute 6) Complete
Thread ends at #20.

Switzerland is famous for its gun culture. One of the great factors is that, upon leaving the military, soldiers keep their service weapons. They become members of a well-ordered militia thereafter.
2) This was precisely the vision of our founders when they created the 2nd Amendment to our Federal Constitution. Local communities with well-ordered militias are near impossible to conquer. There's a very simple reason. Conquest requires surrender.
3) If you consider the function of General George Washington in our Revolution, you clearly see that resistance requires leadership. There are no such things are armies without generals. A militia must be led. In America, who is the leader of local forces?
A county needs a soul. It has its own already, but most of us can’t access it and it can’t make decisions. No, it needs a single patriot to arise as its spokesman, one who will dedicate him- or herself as such.
2) I offer but a single parameter of qualification. The County Soul will read the 12 books I recommend and will read them with his or her county in mind. You may believe me when I tell you I know how bold I am in so saying. I do. Yet here's my list.
3) Let us turn now, then, to Master Sun Tzu. I have named my project: #SunTzuForMAGA. For a bit over 6 months, I carefully wrote a verse-by-verse commentary on that mission and logged its link here: @WarForAmerica21. You will want to check it out!
Tamara Leigh, purged from Twitter, is one of America's great patriot interviewers. It is also such an honor to be her guest. A bit more info on topic, below...
Trump says we must: 1/ Have ONLY One Election Day 2/ No Mail-in Voting 3/ Require 100% Voter Identification 4/ Universal Signature Matching 5/ Citizenship Verification 6/ Chain of Custody Protections for Every Ballot
27) So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
2)
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
3) Are these the very words of God Almighty, inspired, revealed, transmitted, and translated down the eons to us? If you're a true believer, they most likely are. I know a lot of true believers, many of whom do not have the literal faith in these words that I was taught as a boy.
When I was coming up, no one taught me that reading is preparation for action. I was taught reading as a religious/spiritual requirement. I learned to read the Bible, and it remains my most important text.
2) It is famously difficult to hold two contradictory thoughts in one's mind at the same time. The term for this is Cognitive Dissonance. I lost my faith 40 years ago and have never regained it since. At least, not in the same way. Yet the Bible still heads up my list.
3) The vast majority of my followers are Christians and the truest of true believers. To each of you I ask, do you know how to read, study, and pray with the Bible? Do you know how to turn to it each morning as your daily devotional? If not, now is the time. This is the moment.
1) Here in Social Media, breaking news changes everything! I always loved that line of Shep's. I ended up so disappointed in him, but it's a fantastic line.
I just pinned this previously unpinned thread. It's down to @DorasPaintDrips and @Tim_Nagle who always push me so.
2) So, when you can, you do want to read Wednesday's analysis above. Here's why. Today, @DorasPaintDrips risked her Twitter account to post this link. You can see Twitter's big bad monster power has been somewhat defanged, can't you?
3) Thing is, if you read my Wednesday's analysis, and the check out General Mac's interview, I believe you'll see that it fits perfectly within the framework I provide. I'll speak about that just a bit further.
