Ways that SFUSD has been & will be communicating w/ families. Info translated into 7 languages. Families will receive packet in the mail, NEXT WEEK, about what to expect, who the teacher is, etc. Some info will be missing, they will get that info at school site orientation

Proposing two models for secondary. Self contained receive instruction w/ live teacher in a school. Blended will be engaging in coursework via their device but will be at a school, so distance learning inside the classroom. #BoardWatch

Many more middle and high schoolers use public transit than elementary school students. #BoardWatch

PC: Concerning saying that closing schools is not leading to mental health crisis. Hard to find mental health resources, they should be better advertised. Concerned w/ blended model, collaboration is key for high school, sounds like distracting environment #BoardWatch

.@myongleigh says AB 86 identifies focal populations that align well with our phase 2B. We have not done an exhaustive survey of the status of other districts. Have heard anecdotally about plans in OUSD and LA Unified. Suspect many districts are also having these covos.
