This is an very ancient 2700 year old Jain Temple in Devaltand -Ranchi
It is said that at this place lord mahavir did a chaturmas (4 months stay)
Imagine how beautiful it wud be for all of us to visit this Temple
@MpSanjayseth is working for the Betterment of this place
#Thread
This place is an remote place with very low connectivity with city
Roads are not properly maintained and people living here are mostly tribals
Who were earlier jains , and many of them still follow it unknowingly
Tribals living here are called #Sarak
@JainMaggii @truejainology
This Temple has a beautiful idol of Lord aadinath.
Village is called Devaltand which means place of Dev.
This place is filled up with immense positive vibrations
One shud definitely visit this Temple and know how it feels to be at a place where our tirthankar had visited.
Unfortunately today temple is been totally isolated with the time and hardly anyone visits here.
So it gets difficult to manage it.
People are not getting aware of it.
But this temple can become the biggest tirthkshetra for jains from all over India.
Iyatri's will be benefitted
Acharya gyaansagar ji maharaj took immense efforts with other maharaj shaeb in bringing back the sarak to their roots.
Even today sarak people in this village do not eat non veg and do bhakti pooja as per their Knowledge and capacity.
It's an request to @prahladspatel @pspoffice @ASIGoI to allocate some funds and renovate this ancient heritage of India.
So that people from all over world can know how glorious past india had culturally and religiously.
A small mistake on tagging a different person with same name.
The person who raised the issue of highlighting the temple for renovation is
@SethSanjayMP
A great thanks to you sir.🙏🙏🙌✌️

There were many tribes in Bihar , jharkhand , west bengal who were earlier Jain's but with time and few cruel kingdoms have forced conversion to them. Like
In odisha- ashwini , julahe , rangpi julahe , sarak manjinath , alekhi , rangiya
In Bihar n jharkhand
Cont..
#sarak #jain
Adhariya , bhumihar , sarak , bhil .
In west bengal
Sarak , sadgoup ( medinipur )
In ranchi there lives a Tamadiya Sarak in tamad paragana they basically came here from ayodhya and it's near by area's they have 17 Gotra mainly
are adidev, anant dev, dharm dev, kashyap .
Adinath , anantnath , dharmnath were born in ayodhya n nearby.
Tirthankar parshwnath's gotra was kashyap so sarak probably belong to same lineage.
Such a great great history and look at the today's situation.
Lets try hard to bring back them to our roots.

#Matang , मातंग
The forgotten caste of jainsim
is a Dalit caste , We can trace the origin of Matangs in Indus valley civilization. Matangs have very rich & ancient history and we can find references in ancient Jain literture.
#jaingem #Jainism #Thread
@truejainology @rajamaka
They are spread across maharashtra , Telangana , karnataka .
In andhra they are also known as madhiga ".
Meaning of word matang is - elephant.
In indian culture word matang is considered as a good ( सुभ ) word.
Even today in remote villages of maharashtra
@JainMaggii
If one sight's a matang , they consider it as a good luck (सुभ शकुन) .
Their basic work is to safeguard the villages(security) , making of ropes and brooms.
Whenever something good or new things marriages etc happens, ppl first invite matang, considering them as a good luck.

🙏🏼 'KSHULLAK' GANESHPRASAD VARNI

Ganesh Prasad ji Varni (1874–1961) was one of the foundational figures of the modern Indian Digambara intellectual tradition during the early 20th century.
Read the thread to know how much he has done for jains.
#jainGem #Jainism #threadstory
He was the founder of several schools and institutions of advanced learning. He was born in Lalitpur (UP), who belonged to the Asati community(mostly Vaishnava), his father had a deep faith in the Namokar Mantra. He used to live in a Jain neighbourhood and visit the Jain temple
near his house in Mandawara. Influenced by lectures there, at the age of ten, he took a vow to take meals before sunset throughout his life. During his yajnopavita ceremony, he had an argument with the priest & his mother, and declared that he will be a Jain henceforth.

A great forgotten Gem of Jainism #sameer_muni
Who successfully inculcate great values of jainsim and it's ahimsa into the live's of khatik samaj (butcher's) of rajasthan.
Who started their day with slaughtering animals and ended their day with alcohol.
Thread cont...
#JainGem
Butcher's who's life was nothing but to slaughter innocent animals and sell them into cities and earn living.
Looking at such violent nature muni thought to teach them lessons of ahimsa so that they can get rid of the killing of innocent animals.
Tirthankar's teaching of hating the paap (sin) and not the paapi (sinner) was the base of this foundation which was started by muni on 1st May 1958 by including the dalits and khatik( butcher) and ignored of the society n named them
