(a) #MeterChallenge: Consumers have to fill out physical form & attach ID proofs. #Reforms ques: Why? Why can't the same be also & preferably done through #PSPCL app?
Then ID proofs would be either not reqd or uploaded online or pulled from account info.

(b) Consumer has to physically visit office, meet concerned persons, get signatures on form for SDO, JE. #Reforms ques: Why?
In #COVID19 times, sr citizen mom visited office 19/2/21 ("2"), waited as there was some meeting, got form marked ("1","3") thru driver
Mom, sr citizen, was told 19/2/21 to contact JE (name, phonenum on form masked in violet box "2") & that since JE was on leave, she should try phoning him after few days on 23/24 Feb
#Reforms ques: Why this manual chase onus on consumer?

(c) I called the given num on 26Feb and also messaged. There was no response. #Reforms ques: Was some information given to JE or SDO by the system to call the consumer once they rejoined office?
2nd ques: Is there a backup system in case SDO or JE go on leave?

(d) After repeated tries on 26th, connected to JE who mentioned he's hospitalized. I wished him early recovery & conveyed would connect again once he rejoined office. #Reforms ques: Health is priority. But consumer is left quite helpless in this manual system.

(e) 6March, i whatsapped JE.
8March he replied he'd rejoined.
I called gave all details & also gps location on whatsapp because he said he has to first visit our place.
After that despite reminders, no visit. #Reforms ques: Why this inefficient manual system?
@narendramodi It'd be useful to have a centralized (govt) twitter handle (& dashboard on portal) tracking #coronavirusindia so that correct data is available to all Indians at any given time, panic is reduced, & measures taken or expedited where necessary. @MoHFW_INDIA@NITIAayog#CoronaAlert
Alarming & highly negligent of those who designed & released the "Dear Farmers" newspaper ad (incl #DAVP@MIB_India) with a pic of PM in a "mask" with nose exposed!
