From Democracy To Freedom – The Hard Copy Arrives!

While I've studied both e-versions and hard copies of the same book before, never quite like this morning. It's a practice I hope to inspire in you and all fellow local patriot students.

2) We'll walk through the 4 images above in just a bit. First, I want to give you an overall reaction to the hard copy and its instant impact upon me. I haven't studied Sharp's life yet, but I soon enough will. This hard copy opens that door for me, powerfully.

3) Although the information is there in the e-versions, it somehow missed me that FDTD comes after 40+ years of study and research, analysis and guidance on the phenomenon of political non-violence. A single principle can be identified within his entire corpus of work.

4) Non-violent combat not only can but MUST be analyzed and waged with precisely the same conceptual tools and spiritual intensity as violent combat.

Sharp might not approve my wording, but the point is more than just his. He is its father, truly.

5) Much more on that to come in time. Let's turn to each image. The cover image is of a mob. Note especially all the various positions the lifted hands are in. We worked on finding our own action symbol, and rapidly, the hand arose. Sadly, we did not resolve the problems, yet.

6) I am once again quite moved by the power of black and white silhouette. A movement needs an idea, an idea needs a symbol, and a symbol needs a simple stencil and a can of black spray paint. Graffiti power. I won't stop yammering on that point in future.

7) No digital version would have the same impact for me. An image in hand is worth two on screen. And so also is publishing placement. Consider this image of the Author's Note. Do you read from cover to cover? If so, you won't see this till the end of your PDF read.

8) Of the four pics I snapped, this Bio is the absolutely MOST important difference from eBook to hard copy for me. These 7 works stretching from 1960 (the year I was born) to 2005 hit me hard. I don't care about his schooling or postings. It's the books and decades that hit me.

9) I haven't studied Gandhi extensively, although I've always intended to. I am now know Sharp will be my teacher. When I accept a master, I get everything he ever wrote. Sharp will not rise to the pantheon of my life-level masters. But on political non-violence he already is.

10) The next impact is already in place. I didn't realize how many of Sharp's books are freely, instantly available from the Einstein Institute. So, I already have, and have completed a mini-micro-skim of the PDF version of Civilian-based Defense.

11) Part of my difference with Gandhi is that I am NOT anti-violence. Quite the contrary. I believe in violence and lean naturally to the Neocon, Military/Industrial Complex mode of hardline stances. I was 100% with Bush 43 in favor of Iraq War II, as I've often noted.

12) As I enjoy no dream of a post-military world, Sharp's vision is NOT in perfect accord with my own. Ah, but contemplate, how much closer is Sharp's vision to our founding fathers' version of a well-ordered militia than we enjoy in America today?

13) Besides, I ADORE radicals, radicalism, and radical, extremist thinking. Let's go there! So why not envision an ideal Sharp's way, extract what values it offers, and then come back to the real world and decide our own values and methods?

14) Before this discovery, I had made positively NO connection between Sharp and our two Chinese friends, Qiao & Wang and #10 from our list, Unrestricted Warfare. I am now certain that they are outstanding students of Sharp's work. They don't oppose the military, either!

15) We will return to this in future. What we demonstrate over this point may be called a Failure of Integrative Thinking. How much less might we spend on how much more superior a military, if we factored every citizen into the equation? It gives 2A a different light, doesn't it?

16) Last point on this new, as-yet-not-read book. Our volunteer army has rightly plummeted the number of soldiers. We now have a far closer correlation between aptitude and service. Such an approach will empower us to drive that much further. Exciting!

17) Last point on that one, but NOT on the next one! That is, when bopping around online this morning, I also blundered into this key book and yes, got it immediately from Einstein Institute. It's called The Anti-Coup. What an amazingly important title.

18) Without discussing the book, let's consider the title. Ever since Trump left office on 20 January 2021, the term Coup has dangled in front of me. The Election Steal was simply a tactic. The Coup was the strategic objective. I knew that. But...

19) But I'm so hung up on the Election Theft that I pretty much can't get over it. Not being over it, I've lingered in some strange form of denial over the Coup. I've discussed the end of America I many times. I have not named its death that of a successful Coup. This matters.

20) I won't linger on this today. We must focus on FDTD, and not get lost in the totality of Sharp's work. But that these studies matter cannot be doubted. How important is it to the MAGA Movement that we face our lost nation, lost at the hands of a Coup? The 2021 Coup.

21) I will share this strategic and tactical point. We don't have much longer before the Coup has been completely settled in favor of the traitors. The moment serious campaigning gets under way for the 2022 midterms, any window is closed. It's likely too late already anyway.

22) If this Coup remains unchallenged, it will become the worst form of coup, a hidden one. I have yet to plunge to the bottom of that nightmare. I will.

The 4th image is the most clarifying. I've been tempted to link Sharp and Alinsky, but it seemed so unfair to Sharp.

23) Consider the chosen list of nations and comparisons:

1) Vietnam
2) Venezuela
3) Marx's Communist Manifesto
4) Mao Tse Tung's Little Red Book

It doesn't take a genius to analyze the connecting factor among this group of four items! Communism, obviously. Alas.

24) While Sharp's academic integrity allows for none of the manipulations Alinsky so loves to employ this can't be dismissed as I wish. I was confident Sharp leaned left, as his tone is so different. But this is a 2012 book, and Sharp only just passed away in 2018.

25) That got me thinking, "Hey, wasn't Einstein a Communist or something?" You know, the Einstein Institute and all? Yeah. He was. He explains it himself. He's for Socialism but that's a distinction without a difference.

26) It's all so sad, really. But once again I find myself realizing just how far ahead of the cause of liberty the left has come. We've been playing catch up since Roosevelt at the turn of the 19th into the 20th century. And we've never actually realized it. Not really.

27) That brings me right back to my mental edit when reading Sharp. Jefferson's Party was the Democratic Republicans. For him, Democracy modified Republic, the lesser parameter. Not so for Sharp. He always talks about Democrats and Democracy, never Republicans or a Republic.

28) Teddy Roosevelt gave up on the Constitution for being to Republican and led the Republican Party to introduce Progressivism to America from the top down. We have yet to excise that very Progressivism from our Grand Old Party.

29) There is a schism within our Party. There are the Old Progressive Guard, and us, the MAGA Movement. I don't easily imagine how we'll ever forgive the GOP Progressives for their part in the January Coup. I hope we'll find our way back to unity, but I don't know how.

30) What I do know is this. I will read everything Sharp wrote. I will work my way through what we can steal away from him for the Cause of Freedom. And every single time he says Democracy, I will continue to read Republic. That's the way I roll.
