I may not be able to substantiate my claim as I've lost track of my readings of Criminology but it is said that the most influential police force (as in, the dept which has inspired other police forces in the world) is Israel 🇮🇱 & not the USA 🇺🇲 as we usually think
Israel's police has managed to influence a major section of police dept around the globe mainly because of their tactics & that's the biggest problem.
Bcz A country where police & the army are deeply intertwined has managed to create an environment of influence.
Just to be clear, I am a big fan of Israel & Mossad. But their police training modules are not the best
1000s of police officers from round the globe including the US, the UK & India (mainly IPS probies) fly to Israel to receive training, and that's where it gets wrong.
Israel police's trg mainly focuses on anti-riot drills, counter terror ops, racial profiling etc rather than civil policing. Even the civil police is trained more for anti sabotage roles than normal civil policing
& these tactics are taken back by foreign police officers & are then replicated in their home country, especially in the USA (I wouldn't say India as we follow a very different model)
Many at times it has been found that those tactics were not needed at all.
The branch which makes up a large part of the police (civil guards) is mainly made up of volunteers. Part timers can never make good police personnel as they are not trained to deal with the public properly.
As stated above, problem w 🇮🇱 police is that it's less of a police & more of a military force which rarely uses an escalation ladder while dealing with the public.
I also agree that violent Palestinian protestors should be dealth with an iron fist, but a police force overall should practice high degree of caution while dealing with the public & should always have a humane touch. At the end of the day, police deals w the public
So the question arises, what can Israel do?
The 1st step Israel should do is to draw a line bw police & military.

It is due to the military culture in the police dept which has repeatedly failed community policing in Israel
(Weisburd 2002)
Secondly, it has to change its training module and focus more on civil policing. The riots can be contained by the anti Riot police 'YASAM' the civil police, as the name suggests should focus on everyday constabulary roles
Ppl in India still haven't understood the concept of a police force which means a humane force which has been established to attend to distress calls of citizens & a force which professionally investigates crimes & put forwards its findings in the court.
Ill state again, that I, stand with Israel, as a student of Criminology I thought I'd share some of my opinion on the Israel police force & where it is going wrong
#Israel #IndiaStandsWithIsrael
Long live India-Israel relations

Biggest obstacles for security forces in Anti Naxal Ops : PART 1
- booby traps
- snipers
- light machine guns
- dehydration & fatigue

PART 1
Before starting this thread I'd like to thank all those who provided me with necessary info. Secondly, as you might have noticed, I haven't added IED & landmines, as they are too mainstream and there is no point explaining about the two
1. BOOBY TRAPS
They are relatively new for the SF operating in the red Corridor. Probably took inspiration from their comrades in Vietnam. Booby traps can include anything from spikes hidden in pits, mannequins to posters attached to an IED via tripwire.

Inspectors and State Police Officers collecting hafta on behalf of their Political masters and senior brass is nothing new ! 🥱😴
Political masters set a target which is passed on to senior brass officers, which is then passed on to the lower ranks (Inspectors and DySPs)
Money is collected from various sources like-
1. Restaurants, bars, shops to let them run their businesses
2. Convicts, for providing better facilities in jail
3. Police officials, for transfers, recruitment & leaves
4. People who want to get a case resolved outside court
5. Illegal mining & construction
6. 'Protection money' - usually paid by the local Bahubalis to the area police station or Circle Officer

Cut is given to all the ranks and officials involved in this.

Sir Ji should try brandishing swords in front of Kaneda ki police and then see what happens to them. I finally speak on the hooliganism of these so called protestors.
CONTINUED
People have the right to protest, govt has to give all the protestors a platform where they can highlight their grievances. BUT, This comes with clauses and conditions set by the establishment
After much aggitation, Govt agreed to allow protestors hold a tractor parade in Delhi but forwarded some conditions like pre-decided routes and also explicitly stated that the tractor parades would only be allowed once the Republic Day parade is over.

IMPORTANT NOTICE 🚨
Please spare 2 min of your precious time.
I have noticed that twitter has been taking a toll on my mental health for long, it is not easy to post about a subject (police) which is hated by the masses. People spew hatred w/o any reason on my posts and
They give-out statements against the police & the system w/o even knowing the set-up.
It is very difficult to dig out research work on the police (which also happens to be a part of my university course work), the threads on police depts I make are not info that one will get on
the internet. Most of the info is given by police officers, so it's difficult chasing them and framing the threads.

But it is very easy for an anonymous account to appear from nowhere, Comment BS and walk away.
