Once I was in a domestic flight in India and as I remember a one hop flight - either to or from Chennai. The crew on board were distributing meals on board. As I opt for special meals, got served first. But the pack did not have the cutlery. Eating by hand wasn't an option.
So I notified the Air Hostess about this. She said she will give. But forgot all about it. Then they started collecting the packs and the Lady who came to collect the waste, saw mine and asked, "what happened?". I told that am waiting for the cutlery. She profusely apologized
She then offered me an option. Either she will take this pack, reheat and then serve or give a fresh pack in the 2nd half of the flight. I opted for the latter. This was another crew member who was attending to.
In the 2nd half, my request was taken care of. Then I chatted with her - the stories of passengers who keep demanding things, who make life a wee bit more tough on flights, when things are not available and like. I told her many don't understand what means to be an Air Crew.
The Small Big Things of Life: A little bit of understanding and polite requests always work better than demanding and throwing around one's weight. I got reminded of this incident while reading @almightykarthik's thread -

A Professor started his class on a very serious Topic. The moment he turned towards the blackboard, one of the students whistled. He turned, looked at the class and asked the Whistler's name. No one answered.
The Professor peacefully kept the Pen in his pocket saying: "Lecture ends here. I'll tell you a story to utilise the remaining time".
Everyone became interested.
"Yesterday night I tried hard to sleep, but it was miles away from my eyes, so I thought I'd better get petrol in my car, which will save my time next morning and might induce sleep.
The New India with its aspirations will care 2 hoots - for the Western Media as well as the knaves in the Indian media world. The current India, unlike some of the diplomatic corps and bureaucrats,
led by its EAM, @DrSJaishankar will call spade a spade instead of hemming and hawing. If the #ChineseVirus#WuhanVirus can threaten brazenly, India is not going to blink.
This is the new self-assertive India that, in my view will form an alternate alliance, a workable one, with equal minded partners such as Israel, France, Brazil and other countries, who want to economically grow to pull out its population from various levels of poverty.
एक कोविड पेशेंट की कहानी.....
Thread ( Recd on WA)
An excellent, thought provoking thread by @anexcommie . I can't just even imagine what an anarchy coupled with nightmares would have prevailed in these 6 years but for NaMo. Honestly the "cattle class" would have been very happy with few crumbs thrown at them.
We have seen in Delhi and now repeated in TN. Constructive criticism is absolutely fine but mindless criticism is not. Few things that I would love to see:
a. Show about 20% of the fascist that he is supposed to be. Enforce some elements of Danda Raj.
b. Drop the liabilities in his cabinet. We all know who they are.
c. Don't hesitate to impose President's rule.
d. Make it clear that #HinduLivesMatter. Take an open stance against the conversion mafia.
@ChouhanShivraj Today I went for Vaccination #2 at Nagar Nigam Center. I must say it was badly coordinated and unnecessary waiting time. A person has to go to 4 counters - one for token, one for name registration and another for verification prior to injection.
At step # 3, even before the vaccination is given, am provided the certificate of vaccination. Is it correct? I could have walked out without taking the vaccine.
Though there were only about 50 people present, but very few people were present to manage and coordinate with the result that there was absolutely no Social Distancing.
A MAN went to a Doctor suffering from a severe headache for years on end.
The doctor said, “Joe, the good news is I can cure your headaches. The bad news is it will require removing your testicles"
“You have a rare condition which causes your testicles to press on your spine, and the pressure creates one hell of a headache. The only way to relieve the pressure is to remove the testicles.”
Joe was shocked but he knew he had no choice but to go under the knife.
When he left the hospital, he was without a headache for the first time in 20 years, and he truly believed he could make a new life.
He saw a men’s clothing store and thought, “That’s what I need ... a new suit.”
