Manitoba has announced a new single-day record for new #COVID19 cases: 560.
The previous high was 546 on Nov. 23.
Adjusted for population, Manitoba's 560 new cases is akin to 5,992 cases in a single day in Ontario.
Manitoba announced 560 new cases of #COVID19 and two more deaths on Thursday, May 13, 2021.

Manitoba #COVID19 patients in hospital: 240 (up 19; record is 404)

In ICU: 62 (unchanged, still at record high)
Five-day Manitoba #COVID19 test-positivity rate: 12 per cent (down 0.1 percentage points)

Winnipeg rate: 14.4 per cent (record is 14.9)

Tests completed Wednesday: 4,767 (very high)

There are actually three new deaths; one was removed from the total: An Interlake-Eastern man in his 70s.
The latest Manitobans to succumb to #COVID19 all contracted B117:

• A Prairie Mountain woman in her 60s
• A Prairie Mountain woman in her 70s
• A Winnipeg man in his 70s

Outbreak over:

- CN Rail, 821 Lagimodiere Blvd., Winnipeg.
Manitoba identified 388 new variant-of-concern cases from previous positive cases.

Manitoba recorded another 14,058 #COVID19 vaccine doses Wednesday.

Proportion fully immunized: 7.3%

Manitobans aged 18 and up: ~1,074,581
Over the past seven days, Manitoba has averaged 12,293 doses per day.
The seven-day average case count in Manitoba has also hit a new pandemic high: 468.
Shared Health update:

Total ICU patients in Manitoba - COVID and non-COVID is now 118.

Second wave peak was 129.
Also, Health Sciences Centre is preparing to open an additional COVID medicine unit to handle the patient loads.

Manitoba has banned backcountry camping and travel - including hiking - in all parks south of the 53rd parallel.

That means everywhere but northern Manitoba.

This is due to the fire risk.

Manitoba says it's awarded a tender to Xplornet to provide internet to 125,000+ properties without internet access or underserved by existing access. #mbpoli
The province says in a press release this will serve "nearly 30" First Nations and ~270 rural and northern communities.
The deal will utilize infrastructure owned by Manitoba Hydro.

Vaccine task force logistics lead Johanu Botha is holding the weekly vaccine briefing.

Target for one dose to everyone aged 12 and up to get one dose is now June 9.
This is ahead by nearly a week.

Main reason is a little more Pfizer is coming: 87,800 doses per week by the end of this month, up from 73,700 doses a week right now.
To clarify: Everyone aged 12 and up who wants a dose, meaning the 70 per cent uptake target.
