And here I thought I was saying for days. Listen up again.

1. Ramp up procurement and number of vaccines administered to max possible, fastest possible.

2. Dump Cowin

3. Do public information messages asking people to stay home and isolated. Stop vaccination for broad population requiring queues and crowds till massive availability. Appointments stuff is fine for elite.

4. Finish vaccination of doctors FIRST before dancing about others.

5. Once doctors are vaccinated, ensure vaccination of all medical and medicine adjacent staff - hospital staff, ambulance operators, medical store owners, cafeteria/hotel staff near covid hospitals...

6. Go profession by profession from there.

7. Prioritize vaccination of workers in essential services - police, sanitation workers, drivers of public transport particularly taxis etc, security guards, officials, delivery boys, essential shop owners and staff in courts, govt offices, hardware shops, electricians, plumbers

8. If you still have more vaccines left, target people who commute, factory workers, offices and businesses that would like to open (pretty much everyone who must go out to work at this point)

9. Where possible, vaccinations should be done by small trained teams on location

10. Finally, if there are still vaccines left, target those sitting safe at home, send teams to residential localities. Either door to door, or set up a stall in a society/locality targeting as small areas as needed to prevent crowds.

Target by risk, not age to optimize results.

It makes no sense to ask people sitting safe at homes to actually go out in order to get vaccines while people who are constantly in contact with others can't be vaccinated from lack of availability. If vaccines are limited, their use should be limited to high risk individuals.

Incompetent vaccination planning is resulting in crowds at vaccination centers becoming spreaders + unnecessarily risking those who would otherwise be safe at home.

Fuck cowin. An app that needs to be checked daily in spite of registering is worthless in face of shortage.

Govt is ADDICTED to making people stand in queues, or virtual queues, haunting the cowin app daily, so it is throwing open registration indiscriminately to vast numbers of people without actual vaccines available. This is irresponsible and humiliating and typically incompetent.
