Let's talk about having kids.

I saw a tweet the other day saying: "I'll never understand why people have kids on purpose."

Here's some real talk from a dad:
1/ People who don't have kids focus on negatives like:

1. Crying children
2. Losing touch with friends
3. Lack of time for career, hobbies, and sleep

Yet, if you ask parents, many will say that having kids is the best thing to happen to them.

Why?
2/ Kids are fun to talk to

Watching my 3-year old learn how to form phrases and sing songs gives me great joy.

We have many interesting conversations:
3/ Kids make you want to be better

Raising a child has made me want to become a better person and improve the world that she'll grow up in.

Children copy what you do, for better or worse.
4/ Having kids makes you realize how precious time is

I would easily give up sleep to re-live how it felt to hold my daughter when she was a baby.

Time seems to speed up after having kids when you want it to slow down (most of the time).
5/ Having kids helps you value the small, good moments in life

You know the phrase "stop and smell the roses?" That's what my daughter likes to do when we take our evening strolls.

Seeing the world through her eyes has helped me slow down and enjoy life more.
6/ Having kids gives you peace

In between the tantrums, there are many peaceful (yes peaceful!) moments.

With my daughter, I don't need a beautiful sunset or fancy dinner to experience these moments. They happen daily while eating ice cream, playing legos, and holding hands.

I'm often asked how to ace the PM product sense interview.

It's quite simple really but few know these tricks:
1/ My product sense framework is:

Mission
Problem
Vision
Solution
MVP

Let's explore with a winning example from a FANG interview: "How would you design an alarm clock?"
2/ Mission

Candidate:
"Well, first, I'd like to start with the mission to make humanity a multi-planetary species."

Interviewer:
"Huh?"

Takeaway:
Make your mission a BIG DEAL to WOW your interviewer.

🐰🕳 I went down the crypto rabbit hole the past few months because I'm convinced that it will transform the creator economy.

Here's everything that I've written about crypto, NFTs, and social tokens so far 👇

🔮 Prediction:

Creator economy companies are in a race to the bottom to take less of a creator's earnings.

This trend is great for creators but has big implications for the companies. 👇
1/ For years, large platforms like YouTube and Twitch have taken 30%+ of a creator's earnings from subs, tips, etc.

They justify this cut because they help creators grow an audience.

2/ Startups that focus on helping creators make money take a much lower cut of creator earnings:

Substack: 10%
Gumroad: 3.5%-8.5%
Buy Me a Coffee: 5%

💎 A step by step guide to NFTs for creators

If you're a creator, you're probably wondering:

What is an NFT?
Why should I care?
Why are fans paying $$$$$ for digital content?
How do I create an NFT?

New post and thread with @NERFWRLD 👇

creatoreconomy.so/p/guide-to-nft…
1/ What is an NFT?

An NFT is a record that shows who owns a unique piece of content.

Creators produce unique content such as images, videos, songs, and essays.

With NFTs, fans can now own your content and directly invest in your success. Image
2/ I already own my content, why do I need NFTs?

You don't really.

Today, middlemen sit between you and your fans to:

1. Take most of your earnings
2. Own your content rights
3. Control how many fans see your content

Just look at artist revenue share in the music industry: Image

📈 Perez Framework for Bitcoin and NFTs

Carlota Perez broke down past technology cycles into 2 phases and 4 steps:

1. Installation phase
a) Irruption
b) Frenzy

2. Deployment phase
c) Synergy
d) Maturity

A quick look at how this framework could apply bitcoin and NFTs 👇
1/ The phases/steps are:

1. Installation phase

a) Irruption: Funding for new tech and infra

b) Frenzy: Speculation leads to asset bubbles.

2. Deployment phase

c) Synergy: Inequality leads to crash + regulation of the financial sector.

d) Maturity: Tech is broadly adopted.
2/ What's interesting is that there has always been a crash between the installation and deployment phases in past tech waves.

Let's look at how this could apply to Bitcoin and NFTs...
