One year ago today, #GeorgeFloyd was violently killed by a police officer in the USA. Our thoughts are with his family and friends and we mourn this loss with them.

This killing was not an isolated incident, but the symptom of a structural problem: it is called #racism! Just yesterday it was reported that #BlackLivesMatter activist #SashaJohnson from the UK was shot and her life is in danger.
This happened after countless death and murder threats that Sasha has endured because of her struggle against #racism.
However, racist threats and acts are not uncommon in Germany either: We think of @Tareq_Alaows, who withdrew his candidacy because he received threats.
.@ebonyplusirony (aka #Quattromilf) had to change her residence due to death threats, receiving no protection from the police. Just yesterday, there was further evidence that police officers may have illegally accessed her address.
Racism is a danger for people - especially, but not only the racism in the safety authorities!
