Before introducing direct benefit transfer for NREGA in 2014, Wages were paid in cash and no trace available for who received what and when.
Since introduction of direct benefit transfer and Aadhaar seeding it is observed at least 10% savings is achieved.

LPG Subsidy forms the biggest savings from the implementation of direct benefit transfer. About 6.2 Crore beneficiaries were eliminated by seeding Aadhaar and over 1.05 customers gave up LPG on their own with prime ministers appeal
About 3 Cr core duplicate ration cards removed across the country saving almost ₹75,000 crores till date. Many cases were simply deleted because the death was not updated in the PDS system.
