One of #Taiwan's #COVID19 epicenter Taipei tried to run through the protocols of a possible level 4 alert lockdown today in theory. Level four alert will include measures like requiring all schools to stop classes and businesses to stop asking workers to go into offices.
Citizens won't be allowed to leave their houses unless it's necessary and there will only be 21,000 restaurants, supermarkets, convenience stores and gas stations open across the city. They will also limit citizens' movement from Taipei to other counties. cna.com.tw/news/firstnews…
There will also be limited times that traditional markets can operate. This has been one of the recent hotspots of infection highlighted by health officials. Train and high speed rail services also won't be making stops in Taipei.
MRT services won't be going between Taipei and New Taipei City and buses will only be allowed to operate in Taipei. YouBike will also stop operating during this time.
To prevent citizens from hoarding up daily necessities, police will be controlling the number of people entering supermarkets and the government will consider initiating a limitation on the number of supplies that each citizen can buy to prevent supply shortage.

‘’This is the third consecutive year that I have received such heartbreaking news, first learning that my mother died in a camp in 2019, and in 2020, I learned about my father’s death in a propaganda paper."

Some positive news from #Taiwan's #COVID19 epicenter Taipei. Mayor @KP_Taipei said earlier in the press conference that following the high compliance from citizens, the outbreak in the original hotspot Wanhua has eased even though ...cna.com.tw/news/firstnews…
... the outbreak in other districts has increased slightly. He said while the total number of cases hasn't had an obvious drop based on the rate of positive test results, he thinks Taipei's overall outbreak is now under control.
However, Ko also warned that any slip of attention among citizens could trigger the outbreak to get out of control once again. He said the current disease prevention measures need to be maintained until at least 70% of the citizens are vaccinated.
