Syrian State Media are reporting the missiles came from the direction of Lebanese airspace.

Initial reports suggest large scale airstrikes being conducted at the moment, across Latakia, Baniyas, Homs and Damascus, #Syria.

One impact reported West of Homs, #Syria

No strikes were reportedly conducted in the vicinity of Latakia, the reports were of Air Defense fire from SyAAD batteries, for the first time, Syrian AD has reportedly fired into Lebanon.

Taking into account it was AD fire from Latakia, it’s probably/possible that the reported strikes in Baniyas were also AD fire as well. I’ll check as always.

Statement has been issued by Syrian State Media confirming the airstrikes, and that they were conducted from Lebanon airspace, against “central and southern regions” and material losses were sustained, confirming impacts. West of Homs to check and also Damascus Intl. Airport.

Looks like this was a direct impact against a Scientific Research Base and Ammo Depot near Hashma Province, with reports of at least 8 killed in this strike.
