#BombayHighCourt to hear #KanganaRanaut’s plea seeking renewal of her passport on the ground that the Passport Authority of India is raising objections to the same due to FIR registered against her by Bandra police for hateful tweets and sedition.

Court also points out that the applicant no 1 (Ranaut) is in the performance industry, but then applicant no. 2 (Ranaut’s sister) is not in the industry.
Siddiquee responds that the passport authority raised a verbal objection to her passport renewal application.
Court: And you want us to pass an order against the passport authority without making them a party in this application.

At the outset, counsel for the applicant submits that the application pertains to Ranaut and Rangoli Chandel, the grievance raised pertains to only Ranaut.
The prayer clause (a) refers to applicant no. 1 (Ranaut) and applicant no. 2 (Chandel) was made a formal party in the petition seeking quashing of the FIR against them.
Sidiquee orally prayed for amendment to the petition. Inadvertently, the competent authority is not made a party to the application, even though, the principal prayer for renewal of passport of Applicant no. 1.
Siddiquee submits the act is of inadvertence, he be permitted to add the passport authority as respondent no. 3 to the application.
Oral prayer of counsel for amendment is allowed.
