Switching vaccines—the 2nd dose of AstraZeneca vaccine is no longer recommended in Canada 🇨🇦. The mRNA Pfizer or Moderna now considered a better second dose for someone who had AZ. #COVID19

Other big question now is 1-shot J&J against #DeltaVariant.

8) Lots of J&J 1-dose vaccine questions. J&J while same general adenovirus DNA vaccine family as AstraZeneca, it is also different. The reason we don’t know about J&J is that unlike AZ, J&J is an enhanced spike vaccine with a “double proline” encode to stabilize the spike protein
9) in addition to J&J, Pfizer, Moderna, Novavax has this special “double proline” splint enhancement for the spike protein as well. However, the *AstraZeneca vaccine does not*! It’s one of the many ways AZ is different from other vaccines. cen.acs.org/pharmaceutical…

2) It just exploded in the U.K. It went from a minor variant to now more than 90% of the isolates in the U.K.," Fauci said the variant has a doubling time of about two weeks and currently accounts for 20% of the isolates in the U.S., which are newly diagnosed infections.

The variant, first emerged in India, has quickly swept the globe. WHO officials said that delta has been found in at least 92 countries.

Sydney 🇦🇺 #DeltaVariant outbreak growing—NSW recorded another surge of #COVID19 cases—16 new infections recorded overnight. There are now 37 cases linked to the Bondi (shopping mall) cluster that had the “fleeting” exposure cases. Lockdown now considered.
