In the context of this PPE jeopardy, Hancock’s quiting over looks like a limited hangout. A distraction. A sacrifice to let off the pressure.
And not just for him but for the @BorisJohnson Govt. as a whole.

Nobody can seriously believe that this grifting operation on behalf of @Conservatives donors, which continues at pace with new, equally norm trashing, precedents including the sale of a peerage is Matt Hancock’s idea.
