And now we find that Master Tezuka’s production KNOWINGLY decided to collaborate with the #Tokyo2020 organizers for “business,” when the master himself strongly declared he is “against nuclear power ( #原発に反対 )” in an interview back in June 1988. He passed away 8 month later.

How could this be NOT disappointing to the Tezuka fans world over? I mean, masterpieces like #Hinotori and #Buddah are my bible. They guided me throughout my petty life, because it is underpinned by his philosophy to co-exist with the nature. But nuclear power is incompatible.
In an illustration that #MasterTezuka himself drew for a gallery in 1985, #Atom is depicted as symbol of #nuclearpower that affected the health and livelihood of fisherman’s in Japan. One can easily portray this as a gesture against the irony of harnessing the power of atom.

I AM APPALLED. And as a final note, I leave this thread with pure anger and hate against the 'nuclear syndicate'. It was posted on December 8, 2011. His claims may not be substantiated, but still. It is a rightful cry of those affected by #FUKUSHIMA ☣️

Yes, our beloved #ATOM IS “in tears” over the hardship experienced by the fishermen who were ‘affected’ by the U.S. nuclear testing #BRAVO when a tuna fishing vessel #DaigoFukuryumaru was sailing nearby. Many died from exposure to high doses of radiation.
