Q2 2021 has come to a close and @avalancheavax has seen a rapid growth despite very tough market conditions.

Here's a not-so-short recap of some $AVAX #DeFi highlights. 👇

April:
- @avalancheavax reached 1M transactions on the C-Chain.
- @penguin_defi captured almost $7M TVL in a single day; passed $9M next day and $20M shortly after that.
- @AvaxStars sold almost 4,000 #NFTs in a single day

- @pangolindex and @snowballdefi launched on-chain governance
- @AvaxPodcast went on air and started interviewing $AVAX builders
- @yieldyak_ announced its protocol token $YAK
- @avalancheavax minted its 1 millionth block on the C-Chain

- @OliveCashBsc launched on $AVAX
- @yieldyak_ assumed a voluntary auditor role warning other projects about potential bugs
- @iomarkr has quickly become "the" DeFi dashboard
- @snowballdefi reached $25M TVL
- @LydiaFinance went live and had best APYs for a while

- @OfficialZeroDEX announced v2 and became a #QUADDEX, connecting four different blockchains
- @BenqiFinance had a much anticipated public sale
- @TrustSwap became an incubator for $AVAX projects and partnered with @gate_io

- @gate_io integrated the C-Chain and $VSO became the first C-Chain token listed on CEX
- @sherpa_cash (privacy tx) came out of stealth mode
- @AvalaunchApp revealed the details for the public sale.
- @gondola_finance announced plans to collaborate with @OfficialZeroDEX

- @fraxfinance and @snowballdefi partnered for stablecoin swaps
- burnedavax.com happened
- @snowflakeavax beta went live
- $SPORE happened and brought a lot new users to #Avalanche
- @Baguette_avax set the trend of airdropping tokens to $AVAX validators and delegators

May:
- @pangolindex became a DAO employer and hired its first employees
- @snowballdefi, @pangolindex, @elk_finance et al. launched campaigns to donate to the India Covid relief fund
- @ChartExPro liquidity mining program started on $AVAX instead of #BSC

- Over $180M migrated from #Ethereum to #Avalanche
- @btcturk listed $AVAX
- A LOT of airdrops happened
- @avalancheavax exceeded 2M total transactions on the C-Chain
- $xSNOB has been introduced by @snowballdefi
- $XAVA and $VSO had rough IDOs

- @AvaxHusky released the hit song "wen moon, when lambo" and some merchandising
- A cup of coffee was bought using $AVAX from a vending machine
- $USDT (and later $USDC) announced plans to launch on #Avalanche.
- @avalancheavax hit 100K followers
- @CanaryDex went live

- @penguin_defi launchpad was announced
- @pangolindex officially hired a core team
- @sherpa_cash's Trusted Ceremony had a record participation
- @marginswap released a beta version
- @AvawareAVE brought a group of talented devs to #Avalanche

June:
- @elk_finance revealed plans to become a next-gen decentralized network for cross-chain liquidity
- @penguin_defi launched a compounder and partnered with several other projects
- @iomarkr released its DEX aggregator
- @AVME_IO released its desktop wallet

- @GetKalao teased us with a cross-chain (X&C) #NFT marketplace and a #VR gallery
- @snowballdefi started sharing platform revenues with $XSNOB holders
- @chainlink price feeds went live on the testnet
- @avaxcells, an NFT game, went live

- @traderjoe_xyz teased its beautiful UI and team's witty personality
- @AvalaunchApp helped establishing @kucoincom - @avalancheavax C-Chain bridge
- @AspenProtocol, @KuuFinance and many other projects introduced themselves
