2) This is a horrible terrible no good very bad idea. UK is much less vaccinated than Israel and with much less Pfizer. Yet Israel seeing cases rise, and hospitalizations still increasing. And the vaccine much weaker against #DeltaVariant
3) Hospitalizations up everywhere throughout England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿!!! All #DeltaVariant
4) Look at what is happening in Israel. Cases and hospitalizations both surging. UK has less fully vaccinated % and UK uses mostly a lower efficacy vaccine (2/3rd AZ) against #DeltaVariant than Israel uses. And if Israel is seeing this even with MASK MANDATES, UK is in trouble.

6) England’s move to ignore #DeltaVariant’s serious risks and remove mitigation will ultimately cause more restrictions down the road.
7) Boris Johnson’s propaganda machine is framing it as reopening vs lockdown. But it’s gaslighting. It’s not pro lockdown. It’s pro mitigation of masks and ventilation and other distancing. Not pro shutdown!!! Don’t let the right wing Conservative party machine mislead you.
8) How is hospitalization ⬆️ happening even when half population vaccinated? 1) It spreads to unvaccinated (even via vaccinated carriers sometime), and phenomena that a small % harmed when multiplied by large numbers infected, will still yield large numbers harmed. See 🧵
9) Boris Johnson asking people to take “personal responsibility” with Covid whenever he got COVID himself carelessly and whenever the #DeltaVariant can spread via fleeting exposure of mere seconds to complete strangers— is quite rich.
10) Meanwhile, #DeltaVariant is likely wrecking havoc elsewhere in EU. Will it take Boris to get Delta before he takes it seriously?
11) Boris Johnson has been wrong about everything #COVID19. He will go down in history with Trump, Bolsonaro, Modi, Putin, Tegnell, and AMLO as causing and allowing countless lives to be lost and suffering for millions more during the pandemic. History will remember them all.

A dangerously misleading “study” that claims masks cause kids CO2 damage… COMPLETE HORSESHIT—what author Walach did was actually measure the temporary “dead space” inside the mask. Dead space in a mask or snorkel 🤿 is not most of the air inhaled! @JAMA_current needs to retract! ImageImage

3) The #DeltaVariant is particularly 1 dose vaccine evasive. Only 18-30% with one dose, much lower than before. Two doses better much much weaker. Scotland found 79% two dose Pfizer efficacy for #DeltaVariant infection, while Israel found 64-70%.

EFFICACY DROP—New Israel 🇮🇱 Health Ministry data show that 2-doses Pfizer vaccine against #DeltaVariant over the past month is now just 64% effective in preventing #COVID19 infection. In constrast in May, before #DeltaVariant prevalent, vaccine was 94%. 🧵

2) Meanwhile, another study from researchers at the Hebrew University and Hadassah University Medical Center indicated that the Pfizer vaccine is 60-80% effective against infection from the #DeltaVariant.
3) The Delta variant, which is believed to be twice as contagious as the original strain of COVID-19, is thought to be responsible for 90% of new cases in Israel over the past two weeks.

Florida cases have risen ~50% in 2 weeks. Florida is one of the states with least #COVID19 safety measures. Maybe banning mask rules and banning vaccination verification was a bad idea. 🤷🏻‍♂️ #DeltaVariant doesn’t care it’s summer.
2) Countless people are not taking the #DeltaVariant seriously. But Delta is damn serious.

📍Bathroom airborne transmission confirmed. Whether breathing, toilet🚽 plume, or fecal aerosols doesn’t matter—it stayed in air for 40 minutes before infecting next person. @AliNouriPhD & I have been warning about fecal, bathroom, & septic ventilation for long time. #COVID19 🧵
2) Many past examples of fecal aerosol transmission of the #SARSCoV2 virus - such as in large high rise buildings that share toilet drainage pipes between different apartments / condo units. Yes the graphic is quite graphic, but that’s why photos worth 1000 words…
3) We also know feces can carry active coronavirus that causes #COVID19. Fauci says so, as well as pediatric studies that show the virus living in intestines of children for over a month. Often without symptoms.
