We quickly learned that COVID-19, unlike Influenza, spared children.
Children & youth have EXTREMELY low to no relative risk...again, unlike Influenza.
We quickly debunked the theory that children were "super-spreaders".

We also witnessed the unprecedented evolution of a new generation of children completely steeped in a pervasive #fear that has affected every aspect of their lives.

We also witnessed the devastating effects of lockdowns, shutdowns, restrictions on businesses, unscientific declaration of "non-essential" items, etc. - all of which led to the decimation of countless small business across our province that continues to this day.

Bankrupt business, lay-offs, unemployment, leave of absences from work to handle virtual learning for children, & the costs of purchasing the technology to facilitate at-home virtual learning has created an unprecedented and unbearable strain on families in #Ontario .

Move forward to today - when states like Florida have been open for many months (with minimal vaccination rates at the time) with continuously decreasing COVID-19 metrics since. Texas & other states followed with no negative health outcomes for their populations.

Packed to capacity outdoor AND indoor events have been happening across the United States for MANY months now - with NO negative health outcomes for the population.

Almost all COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted in Alberta & BC - including #maskmadates
Saskatchewan does the same on July 11th.
Yet,...in Ontario we are the most restricted jurisdiction in North America (& and in the running for the top globally).

@fordnation 's so-called "Re-Opening" plan - has NO actual re-opening.
Step 3 - which we may reach in a couple of weeks - is still NOT anywhere near "open", "normal", etc.
In most ways, it is still WORSE than "green".
