- "Think Pain, Thank Para" is unsaid mantra of Indian especially housewife and people with stressful work nature

- Paracetamol by all means is a therapeutic drug to be taken only under advice of a doctor, though widely made available
-Paracetamol 500 mg is categorised as mild Analgesic (Pain Relieving drug ) & Anti pyretic (Control fever)

-This is widely prescribed by doctor for relief from minor painful and febrile conditions
-Do we really know that paracetamol can cause harm to your health if you are on other medicines and not suitable for everyone

- Do we really know that EU/ US/ UK drug regulation advice not to prescribe paracetamol for pediatric under 10 years of age
- Do we really know that in US the next cause of liver transplant after alcohol is acetaminophen toxicity(caused due to paracetamol overdose )
- Do we really know that paracetamol tab will require a 4-6 hour time interval for another dose

- I have seen people popping up second dose if no relief in 45-60 min
- Do we really know that one acetaminophen (paracetamol) can take 4-17 hours to get metabolized by liver it's purely based on your liver function
- Do we really know that paracetamol can cause skin irritation to some and continuous usage can pave way to serious liver disease, kidney conditions and vision too

Do we know that any breast feeding mother who consumed paracetamol will find miniscule traces of paracetamol in her milk and inturn the babe too consumes it
I will stop the paracetamol bashing here , these are not my research findings and it's a ugly truth of unregulated unaware effect "over the counter overdose"
- Do remember two things

- There is no pill for every Illness but every pill can bring another unknown illness

- Pain cannot be killed can only be manged or cured
Per Ayurveda, Pain management needs mind management before any medication or therapy

Especially the headache means a signal for rest from your brain and body
So how do we manage headache

-A simple deep breathing
- Mindful Stillness
- Walk in nature
- Remembering happy moments of life
-Giving rest to your thought current
- Talking to loved one
- Playing with pet or kids
- Practicing gratitude, bringing a smile in stranger face

Just like appreciating about dressing sense or thanking the waiter who gives coffee / tea
There are quite lot of ways to keep engaged, divert our mind from the painful feeling and popping that magic pill

I conclude with eternal truth
"Pain is inevitable but suffering optional " (Holds perfectly good for paracetamol or any meds from any system of meds)
If nothing is possible for you, have a simple hot water infused with ginger or garam a draksa chai with elachi toppings

Twenty minutes pain will move away as there are natural Analgesic and this as well should not be consumed more than thrice in a day
