One thing I can promise you:

If you master email marketing, you'll never go broke.

I've generated $50+ Million for my clients through email:

Here's 9 tips on how to (actually) make money with an email listπŸ‘‡

//THREAD// Image
#1) The email doesn't sell the product, it sells the click.

While this isn't true for every email list,

It almost always applies in Ecommerce email marketing.

The product page sells the product.

The goal of the email?

Get the subscriber to the product page.

Nothing more.
#2) Look at emails as mini-funnels

The goal of funnels is to bring traffic step-by-step, eventually leading to the Checkout page.

And,

It's same for email.

Subject line -> headline -> email body -> CTA -> product page -> purchase -> post purchase -> etc.

Good to understand.

FACT:

You are missing out on revenue every time you send an email.

There are common mistakes I see 99% of businesses making with their email marketing,

& today I want to address them.

Here are 7 common email mistakes you can fix TODAY to make more $$$πŸ‘‡

// THREAD //
#1 Poor segmentation

Segmentation is one of the most important aspects of email marketing,

Especially for eCommerce.

Not segmenting properly can mean lots of unsubscribed, low opens, emails landing in spam, and more.

Here's an intro to segmentation πŸ‘‡

#2 Poor subject lines

Subject lines get your emails opened.

There's a lot to this that I can't fit here,

But if you're interested, my Campaign Calendar Guide has 100's of great subject line examples πŸ‘‰bit.ly/3iGSI4m

Email marketing is a high-income skill.

You can work freelance, in-house, or use it to grow your own business.

Learn email marketing & clients will pay you $2-5k+/month... writing 3-5 emails a week.

Here's how to start your career as an email marketer πŸ‘‡

(5 Steps)

//THREAD//
1 Find a niche

This is the 1st step:

Finding a market to write for.

It's hard to get work as a general 'email marketer'...

...but an eComm email marketer?

Or a health email marketer?

Or - even better - a health email marketer for eComm stores?

Getting work becomes easier.
The more niche you go, the better off you'll be (especially as a beginner).

How do you choose a niche?

Ask yourself:

>What do I have experience in?
>What am I interested in?
>What niches need copywriters badly?
>Which niches can I make the most money in?

Choose wisely!

I’ve done email marketing for dozens of stores now.

Here are 3 ways I (almost always) avoid the spam folder:
Emails that don't get delivered are worthless.

If you land in the junk folder?

You're not making money.

Even worse:

The more you land in spam, the more it will happen.

It's a bad cycle you DO NOT want to get into.

Follow these 3 steps to avoid the junk folder all costs πŸ‘‡
1. Segmentation

Email recipients have the option to mark emails as spam.

This will impact your 'sender reputation' and tell email providers that you are junk mail (which you aren't)

To ensure this doesn't happen, you need to segment your list.

**Intro To Segmentation 101**

Segmenting your list is key.

It improves engagement, open rates, and sales…

...but you need to know what segments to set up.

(otherwise it's pointless)

Here are 5 segments that are 100% essential πŸ‘‡

// THREAD //
NOTE: These segments are mostly for eCommerce stores...

BUT can also apply to other business models (info products, affiliate, etc.)

Also:

I go into each segment (and others) PLUS how to create each one in my email course πŸ‘‰ chasedimond.podia.com/email-marketin…

Let's get into it...
Segment #1 - Buyers

The subscribers most likely to buy your products?

The ones who have already purchased from you.

Very simple.

You can send more emails to this segment than others.

You'll also want to segment buyers based on categories/products purchased.

Every great email has 5 parts:

1. Subject Line
2. Headline
3. Body
4. Image
5. CTA

The better you execute each?

The better your email + more $$$.

Here are 3 actionable tips & tricks to improve for each part.

(for freelancers, agencies, + Ecom store owners)

// THREAD //
1. Subject Line

IMO the biggest factor in getting your emails opened is the 'From' line (you).

The next biggest factor?

The subject line.

3 tips:

- test, test, test
- create open loops + target curiosity whenever possible
- shorter subject lines (usually) perform better
2. Headline/Lead

Your email should start with either a headline or lead.

This is very important.

3 tips:

- first sentence/headline should be short + attention grabbing
- if possible, imply a benefit of reading the email
- create an open loop (to be closed in email)
