Justice Khanwilkar: Last date?

Sr Adv Vikas Singh: match is on august 24. today is the last date to send the names. i am ready ti quarantine for 5 days from today and have rt pcr tests. let them send the name today

SC: Who is appearing for the authority?

Singh: I don't think anyone is there as i mentioned today morning before CJI

SC: How do we pass ex parte orders?

SC: You should have advised your AoR to serve the advance copy

Justice Khanwilkar: we cannot pass orders unless the other party is present, we have no doubt over the urgency.

Adv Vikas Singh: please take up the other matters, i will inform the other side

ASG: Everything is done by the Paralympics association. Centre has nothing to do with it

Justice Khanwilkar: But can his name be sent today?

Justice Jhanwilkar: if the Olympic committee does not want to appear before us then we will issue directions.

#supremecourt: This matter is placed before the bench as directed by CJI led bench in view of urgency, Matter was taken up at 2 pm. we asked the AoR of petitioner to immediately contact the Adv for respondents to appear

#supremecourt: Counsel for the petitioner states that Advocate Satyam personally spoke to the President of the committee. However upon being apprised by the proceeding, no appearance has been made.

#supremecourt: ASG Natraj for Centre says they will abide by the directions as stated by the court. Mr Singh states today is the last day for sending names. In view of the urgency and more particularly in light of observations of the HC,

SC: Prima facie the petitioner succeeded and appropriate directions should have been issued to the Respondent committee. for the time being

SC: we direct the committee to immediately recommend name of participant as additional participant or additional entry in the 50 m para shooter category of Paralympics and report compliance by tomorrow. @Paralympics #supremecourt

The name of Justice AM Khanwilkar has been misspelt in one of the tweets. Error is regretted.
