1) As #Ontario has the highest vax rates in Canada, & #Canada the highest in the world - @fordnation @celliottability @JustinTrudeau & @PattyHajdu have NO excuse for any restrictions - as others have successfully opened with much lower vax rates.

Q #1: Does my employer have the right to ask for the result my COVID-19 test?

A: "Except where required or permitted by law, an employer cannot seek and a doctor cannot give out any patient medical information without..."

If your employer has been "screening" you by asking you to answer INDIVIDUAL questions for each symptom - YOUR RIGHTS HAVE BEEN VIOLATED!

It should be "Yes" or "No" for the entire list - as seen here: covid-19.ontario.ca/covid19-cms-as…

Even in healthcare settings, only your Occupational Health Dept. can collect specific health info - and must keep it confidential.

Your employer should ONLY know whether you "passed" or "failed" the screening.

They do NOT have the right to know why!!!

Two legal questions for the legal professionals listed at the end of this thread (& any others I missed):

As the privacy protections afforded by: FIPPA & MFIPPA only applies to government/public organizations; PHIPA only applies to health information custodians...

...Question #1: What Ontario legislation specifically protects the privacy our vaccination status (which is PHI) when private businesses/services, employers, etc. ask us to disclose this information?

Question #2: As the Gov't of Ontario requires ALL employers to screen all employees entering the premises, & whose guidance is having employees answer "Yes" or "No" to a long list of symptoms...

Open Letter to any @OntarioPCParty MPPs who still values small "c" conservative principles.

In early 2020, we admittedly did not know as much about SARS-CoV-2 as we do now.

Overzealous precautions in the initial period were excusable - in the short-term.

We quickly learned that COVID-19, unlike Influenza, spared children.

Children & youth have EXTREMELY low to no relative risk...again, unlike Influenza.

We quickly debunked the theory that children were "super-spreaders".

We also quickly realized that #lockdowns, school closures, social isolation, & #maskmandates have an EXTREMELY negative affect on children & youth with respect to their mental health, physical health, social development, delayed/impaired social milestones, education, etc.
