Airbnb grew from 0 to $92B in 13 years.

In just over a decade, it now competes with traditional hotel businesses internationally

Their marketing strategy plays a great role towards this success

Here’s how they went about it and how you can use their strategy for your business:
1. Airbnb didn’t brand themselves as “cheap hotels.”

They positioned themselves as a company that enriches your vacation experience by making you live like locals.

You feel at home.
While affordability may be one of your selling points, it shouldn’t be your main one.

Don’t fight with your competitors for pricing.

Look for the vacant spot in your market and fill it.

Then make your unique selling proposition known in all aspects of your campaign.
2. Segmentation & remarketing

If Airbnb guests say they enjoyed their stay at a particular property, Airbnb takes note and retargets high-value guests to list their homes and become hosts.

Without hosts, the business doesn’t work.

So the company never stops growing.
More people become hosts in order to make some money from the brand.

You can use this strategy for your company by

Keeping in touch with your customers and giving them new opportunities to improve their lives.

If they enjoyed your product/service so well,
you can have an affiliate program that allows them to earn when they bring new people to patronize your business.

They already used it and saw the benefits, so they’ll have no problems inviting others.

You just have to create the opportunity.
3. Airbnb let’s you know about their insurance coverage.

To make you feel more comfortable about renting your house to guests, Airbnb has an insurance coverage that handles all the guest damages.

This is risk reduction.
When your customers know that they have more to gain than lose, they are more willing to get what you’re selling.

So, don’t hide your guarantees. Let them know!

And if you have no guarantees, make one 🙄
4. They don’t take their hands off the business, even though hosts create the revenue.

You would think that Airbnb does nothing apart from branding, listing houses, and running ads.

That’s far from it.

When Airbnb first started,
people would take photos of their homes and upload it.

But, there was no huge growth even though money was coming in.

That’s when they noticed…

The pictures on the site were not attractive enough.
So, they went to each house and took great pictures to replace what was on the site.

Growth happened!

Till today, Airbnb premium service does home inspections to guarantee that the house is up to standard.
Even if you’re outsourcing most of the tasks in your business,

Never take your hands off completely,

You’ll run it to the ground.

Handle important tasks that push the needle, and oversee the others.
5. Airbnb keeps the unique proposition across all platforms

Remember that I said the USP is to make you feel at home

They do this with their website and app too

The tone, colors, and user interface makes you feel welcome.

Let your customers feel your message wherever they go.
6. Airbnb collaborates with popular influencers

Travel bloggers on IG and YouTube lodge with Airbnb and share the scenery and beauty of these properties with their viewers.

Because they’ve seen famous people online use Airbnb with no complaints,
these viewers won’t consider a hotel when going on vacations.

Connect and partner with top individuals in your niche to market your product and increase sales.
It’s just like how @OneJKMolina and @EdLatimore partnered on their course and made record sales.

High value individual + High value individual = explosive sales

HV business + HV individual = Crazy sales

HV business + HV business = focking crazy sales

When your headline sucks, the whole copy is wasted.

Here are 5 ways to optimize your headline for success:
1. Make them benefit-driven

Let your readers see what they stand to gain from your offer.

Make sure it’s something they don’t already get elsewhere.

Answer the question: “What’s in it for me?”

So they’re not just looking like

“Wtf? 👁 👄 👁 “ Image
2. Spark curiosity

Even if you hang a huge benefit as your headline.

And stare at it every 5 minutes like it’s the best thing you’ve ever done,

People may not read the body.

They'll say it’s a lie and they leave the page.

Add questions or statements that make them curious Image

Feeling unproductive lately?

Here are 5 ways to change that…

[THREAD]
1. Wake up early

Between 5am - 10am, complete all your major tasks for the day.

You have the rest of the day to do whatever you want.

Sleep by 9pm and do it all over again.
2. 3 important tasks come first

A 32yo man complained that he does 2 minor tasks first and feels fulfilled for the day

As a result, he doesn’t do any important tasks

Wrong approach!

Do the 3 most important tasks first. You can schedule the rest of the day any way you want.

How To Edit Your Copy After The First Draft

[THREAD]
Several times, you’ve heard copywriters in and outside Twitter scream that you shouldn’t publish immediately after the first draft.

Your first draft may be littered with:

- Punctuation and grammatical errors.

- Sentences that do not flow.
