We're uniting virtually to join the #VotingRightsMarch on the 58th anniversary of the historic March on Washington.

As Martin Luther King, Jr. said, “our most urgent request to the president of the United States and every member of Congress is to give us the right to vote.”
The march is part of a nationwide demonstration to demand that lawmakers take action to protect #VotingRights.

I keep seeing messaging from organizations saying or implying that asking someone if they've been vaccinated for #COVID is somehow rude or bad manners.

I am also a graduate of "White Gloves and Party Manners" and the daughter of a Virginia debutant.

Believe me when I tell you that if you can ask someone when they're finally going to get married, or what ingredients they're putting in the macaroni salad they are bringing to the church homecoming - you can ask someone if they're vaccinated.

The Elizabeth City community has continued to demand justice for #AndrewBrownJr, a father of seven. The local NC District Attorney, R. Andrew Womble, refused to prosecute the officers who fatally shot Brown.
Journalists and the community in Elizabeth City have been asking for the full video footage of the killing of Andrew Brown Jr. from the body cams and dash cam to be released since he was killed in April.

As school boards across NC are deciding on face mask policies, the CDC has recommended universal indoor masking for adults and children at all schools.

The American Academy of Pediatrics also recommends universal masking in schools. #NCEd
"AAP recommends universal masking because a significant portion of the student population is not yet eligible for vaccines, and masking is proven to reduce transmission of the virus and to protect those who are not vaccinated."
