Amendment 2 by Huberty. It creates a civics training advisory board to advise the TEA commissioner in developing the civics training programs for teachers. Huberty says Talarico has an amendment to this amendment. #SB3 #txlege #txed

Seems like it's @RepMaryGonzalez's amendment to the amendment. Instead of the civics training advisory board having 1 gubernatorial appointee and 4 appointees each by Lt. Gov and Speaker, it will have 9 appointees by the TEA commissioner. Adopted. #txlege #txed

Amendments by @GinaForAustin @JaredLPatterson to make sure students can still get course credit if they intern w/an org that engages w/lobbying (even if a student doesn't do that work) are opposed by Huberty who says #SB3 already does that. Both fail. #SB3 #txlege #txed
