1/ Whilst this tweet inadvertently compares the ABC to Fox News & hilariously sets up a premise that progressives will be blaming another LNP election win on Antony Green, its important to remember something when he compares progressives to MAGAs.
2/ Trump caused the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people by downplaying the virus under the guise of “keeping America calm”. And when Delta initially hit Sydney, & Gladys downplayed the risk, Carrick encouraged Sydneysiders to “shrug their shoulders & go about their day”.
3/ To this day that complacency towards COVID continues to kill Americans, many of whom bagged out progressives until their last breath. And as complacency is now killing Australians, Carrick is bagging out progressives for criticising the ABC when it obfuscates health responses.
4/ Do I actually think Carrick is a MAGA? No. I’m returning insult. People who lash out with these lazy MAGA comparisons are not doing it intellectually. Its all emotion. That ego will never admit to falling for the “Gold Standard” narrative.
5/ We’re mutually blocked, but his footprint is so concrete on Twitter as you lovely people keep retweeting him. To clarify though, he blocked me first when I pointed out he was down a rabbit hole.
Hope he gets out one day! 😘

2/ When the current NSW outbreak began in June, Leigh Sales went on a pre planned holiday. 730 started reported rising cases every episode and balancing stories concerning the seriousness of the disease with those examining the impact of lockdowns.
3/ Sales returned many weeks later, interviewed the NSW Premier after her failure to contain the virus, but was meek in holding her to account.
1/ The LNP have hijacked the conversation regarding The National Plan to Transition Australia’s COVID19 Response. I wanted to keep track of the propaganda & myths surrounding it.
HOW THE LNP ARE CONQUERING AUSTRALIA INSTEAD OF COVID
Yes. Another thread from a noisy Victorian.
1/ When Scott Morrison was recently quizzed on his failures with Hotel Quarantine, he was met with laughter and derision for suggesting Labor was politicising the pandemic.
2/ Ironically, during the early stages of the pandemic Labor were constantly labelled as agreeable and weak in opposition. They often still are. However, we must respect that our health depended on Labor cooperating with the coalition. For the most part, Labor certainly did this.
3/ The best example of a politician playing politics during the pandemic, is the angry little Treasurer, Josh Frydenberg.
