*1959 Cadillac assembly line, when Detroit and tailfins were at their peak. If you have a mystery vehicle you'd like solved, please first read our Terms of Service agreement:
Not sure if he had a haircut like this in 1979 because he was military, punk rock, or just a nerd. Behind him is a 1970-77 Chevy Vega hatchback, across street is a 1974-77 Chevy Camaro and a 70-72 GM A body 2 door sedan (either Chevelle or LeMans)
Delighted to help out an Iowa Law prof; the Grands' wedding car was a 1939 Packard sedan, made across town in Detroit, and I have to say pic 2 has a real Godfather I vibe.
By gadfry, that's a 1931-36 Divco Twin Coach. I've seen them as milk trucks, but most notably as Helms Bakery trucks in old Los Angeles. First time I've seen one as an actual food truck, and in 1941 no less.
Your 1962 Detroit Tigers lineup is brought to you by the 1962 Dearborn Fords lineup: 1. Falcon, 2. Country Sedan wagon, 3. Galaxie 500 convertible, and 4. Thunderbird.
MIL & her dad are leaning on a 1950-51 Dodge Coronet, behind it is a 1939 Chrysler Royal. Truck in #2 is a 1951ish White 3000. Light colored sedan in #3 I think 1940 Chevy Special Deluxe, but not 100% sure.
And if you've been waiting more than a month for an ID, feel free to ping me again. Sometimes requests get lost in my mentions.
I loves me some vintage family album car photos, but now it's time to decipher some street & wilderness finds - starting with our 2nd 1960 Pontiac of the thread, this one a Bonneville convertible with chrome big rim Detroit steelies.
Another gaudily colored 1955 Ford, this one a Fairlane convertible with Continental kit rear spare, probably headed to the Enchantment Under the Sea dance at Hill Valley High
This, believe it or not, is a circa 1920 REO Speed Wagon, after ridin' 100 years of storms out in the Yukon. Note remnants of its solid wood chassis, which in another century or so will dissolve into the earth from which it came.
yessir, grille insert from a 1965 Chrysler 300. Very similar to the original Green Hornet Black Beauty, a 1966 Chrysler Imperial customized by George Barris
Gotta call a lid on the IDs for today. If you dig this content, I invite you to give a test drive to my super duper deluxe model at Substack. New issue coming shortly!
See you here next weekend for more car ID fun-- until then, happy motoring! dcids.substack.com

If you can't understand the utter mock-worthy absurdity of a bunch of Brussels bureaucrats issuing HR warnings to cavemen who just dispatched the largest military force on Earth, I'm afraid I can't help you
I have it on good authority that @NateEMiller will be keeping track of the CFB Marble Game again this season. Rankings aren't really meaningful until week 5 or 6.
1. Every P5 (+ND & BYU) team starts with 200 marbles, every G5 team starts with 100 2. win at home/neutral field, take 20% of opponent's marbles; win on road, take 25%
Thus as of right now:
Every P5 team w/ a road W vs a P5 team has 250 marbles
Every P5 team w/ a home W vs a P5 team has 240
Every P5 team w/ a road W vs G5 team has 225
Every P5 team w/ home W vs G5 team has 210
Every P5 team w/ win vs FCS has 200

What's all this about dewormed horses shooting COVID doctors in Oklahoma
I blame Bat Child
God bless our brave Rolling Stone reporters on the ground in Oklahoma, risking assault rifle-toting horses, COVID tornados, and murderous Sturgis bikers all hopped up on dewormers and meth to bring us the news
*The Pick Sisters, performers with Irving's Midgets, who are about to open for Barbara Lamarr and "The Shooting of Dan McGrew" at the Riviera Theater Chicago 1924. In the background you can see the Uptown Theater under construction.
**Standing behind a 1923-24 Nash sedan; across Racine Ave are a 1924 Moon and 1924 Hudson sedan. The corner of Broadway, Lawrence & Racine in Uptown was ground zero for Prohibition Chicago speakeasies and theaters, including the Aragon Ballroom and Al Capone's Green Mill.
