There was no such group as ISIS-K in Afghanistan until this September. If you are an extremist who share the values of ISIS, you could easily find yourself a group within the Taliban to join.

In 2017 when #Trump dropped the mother of all bombs in Nangarhar province, the Americans didn't even bother check the damage it caused. The bomb wasn't dropped to kill or damage tunnel networks of ISIS-K, it was meant to serve the ego of the president. The mother of all ego's!

The Taliban foot soldiers are not on the same page as the Taliban leadership. Taliban foot soldiers want to continue the war across the border into Pakistan, but the leadership is firmly in Pakistani hands. They are puppets who have sold their souls to the Pakistani's.
Pakistani ISI have created this so called ISIS-K recently. They are most probably made up of ISI agents targeting Taliban foot soldiers. This is to keep Taliban foot soldiers busy in a phony war so they leave Pakistan alone. This serves the puppets in Kabul & the Pakistani cause
Pakistan financed the #Taliban as an alternative to our government. They are now financing ISIS-K as alternative to the Taliban. This is to make sure Taliban have a firm grip on their foot soldiers. This is to make sure the puppets in Kabul don't step out of line.

ISIS-K did exist before this September, but they were a branch of the Taliban. They carried out school bombings and other atrocities against civilian targets and they took responsibility for it. This was to keep the Taliban image clean. They were just created to take the blame.
This bombings shocked the nation and damaged the national morale. Demoralised our people! Hence the people pushed the government to start peace negotiations. That ISIS-K is different to this ISIS-K. Different purposes!! Trust me on this. This was my line of work!!
